Went shopping yesteerday.ds1. Jas a blu badge so we parked in a disabled space.went to shops and back to car couple of hours later. We have 4 dcs and the baby 7 mths started screaming and was hungry.by then the car park was packd. I started to feed ds while dh got other dcs in car and an elderly couple drove past and politely asked if we were leaving, dh said sorry not yet then 2 other drivers did the same but the fourth stopped got out and said please could we hurry up, I explained that when I had fed ds we would be going but she was really angry and said a disabled space is not just for sitting in that we should go immediately. I was only another ten mins fding ds it is hard enough going out as all dcs have same condition and ds2 was really screaming I had to feed him as it was a long drive home. Was I being unreasonable?

If it's any consolation ariane5 you would have annoyed far more people by randomly parking on a double yellow line to feed a baby.

Offred · 04/12/2012 17:33

You decided unilaterally and on insufficient information that your need to use that particular toilet and make the op move was greater than her dc's needs... Not unilaterally park although unilateral parking is surely what your PA does every time they park unless they reciprocally park or need to be aided to park.

NoLittle, I just think it's funny that you say you uphold the rights of the disabled in your professional capacity, and yet insult a mother with 4 disabled children and a woman who is blind on here.

Do you put on a 'professional' hat when you go to work and just do the nasty sniping and mockery in your leisure time?

NoLittle, bedhopper's disability is blindness - she said it on this thread.

You can say you didn't mock OP - but she was clearly upset when she posted and you have added to the upset of a mother who was struggling in a shopping centre at Christmas, with her 4 disabled children and a hungry, screaming baby. I hope you're happy about that.

I thought the op was very gracious towards you, btw. But you did keep going on and on at her, making the poor woman post more and more details.

She was entitled to use the space - legally and morally.

NolittleBuddahsorTigerMomshere · 04/12/2012 17:44

then you'll get a mixture of everyone and get a much better understanding of DR movement.

Sabrina, I askked for no details, and apologised to her twice and no she wasn't.

GlaikitFizzogTheChristmasElf · 04/12/2012 17:46

And a festive one Smile

NolittleBuddahsorTigerMomshere · 04/12/2012 17:47

I did say that genuinelly missed the post about blindness. TBF, never askked what the disability was, just how longer she'd had it.
