The Bottle Bib - for those who don't have time to sit and feed their baby Hmm

They have a questionnaire inviting feedback. Please do join me in giving some Smile

Wow. I'm lost for words. I cannot believe the idiocy of people.

MrsTerryPratchett · 23/11/2012 17:43

To be supervised at all time. Right, that sounds plausible. Hmm

NoraGainesborough · 23/11/2012 17:44

Firstly I detest the name of the website, not sure why. Just do. In fact the website name made me think it was a wind up.

and thats awful. Notice several notices saying you must supervise your child, but still. I really don't like this.

I could see someone using it who is perhaps disabled and struggles but can't really see why you would use it otherwise.

Fakebook · 23/11/2012 17:44

MUMMA AND BUBBA DOT COM? really?

Seems like selling dangerous products for babies isn't their only major flaw.

Brices · 23/11/2012 17:46

Devils advocate maybe triplets?
Agree it looks horrendous

GrumpyCynicalBastard · 23/11/2012 17:46

Ridiculous.

And they don't even know that the plural of 'baby' is 'babies'. Double ridiculous.

RooneyMara · 23/11/2012 17:46

I just did the questionnaire asking what the point of it is if you need to 'supervise at all times' as they advise?

Unless you have no functioning hands, which I guess is possible.

Blu · 23/11/2012 17:50

Surely it's a spoof?

No-one would strap their baby into a contraption like that, and it's obviously dangerous. (choking).

It has to have been dreampt up by some idiot desperate to appear innovative on The Apprentice, or else by the Daily Mash.

IneedAsockamnesty · 23/11/2012 17:51

Would be very handy in one of those orphanages where they ignore the babies

RooneyMara · 23/11/2012 17:53

There was something similar on here a few years ago that was linked to and roundly condemned by us all.

I can't rmemeber what - some kind of dummy enforcer I think? Like, it held the dummy in place - Oh someone will remember it.

I think the designers got real shirty with us and then stopped trying to sell the bloody lethal device.

QueenOfFarkingEverything · 23/11/2012 17:55

Unfortunately I think the company are for real. They also do a fetching range of personalised gifts

OP posts:
QueenOfFarkingEverything · 23/11/2012 17:56

But if you had no functioning hands, how would you prepare the bottle, insert baby into the torture device bib, and attach the bottle to it?

OP posts:
Blu · 23/11/2012 17:56

Oh, hang on, wasn't this from an episode of Men Behaving Badly?

If not it ought to have been.

Fakebook · 23/11/2012 17:57

The Bottle Bib is for babys 3months + allows you to multitask whilst supervising your baby at all.

Isn't that an oxymoron? [hmm\

IneedAsockamnesty · 23/11/2012 17:57

Rooney I believe that's called Sellotape

SneakyNuts · 23/11/2012 17:57

That is terrible!

I have left a rather lovely comment for them, and also let them know this thread is here Grin

Blu · 23/11/2012 17:58

Fucking'ell, those hideous frilly items...

It's a spoof, I tell you, the whole website.

I'm not filling in that questionnaire and giving my name and e mail address, anything could happen!

WhenShallWeThreeKingsMeetAgain · 23/11/2012 17:58

Why are some of you slating the website name? A lot of MNs refer to bubs or bubba (which incidentally I hate).

YoullScreamAboutItOneDay · 23/11/2012 18:00

Jeez. How to drown your baby.

NairyHipples · 23/11/2012 18:03

Crazy

Blu · 23/11/2012 18:04

If you click on the 'to be supervised at all times' line you get a more detailed close up of the ratchett that fixes the bottle in the baby's mouth, the straps that fix round it's little body....the whole thing is preposterous.

QueenOfFarkingEverything · 23/11/2012 18:04

They are also on Facebook

"As a busy mum, I would struggle each morning, trying to get myself ready and feed my baby. I worked out that I could do my hair and makeup in the room with him as long as I used a dressing gown to create a homemade bib that secured the bottle in front of him, the problem was, every five minutes, the bottle would move and he would cry for milk.

I knew exactly what I needed; a bib that had an attachment to hold the bottle in the correction position, something adjustable but secure enough to keep it stable. I looked and looked and couldn't find it anywhere on the high street or internet. I spoke with other mums who all said they did exactly the same thing with towels and dressing gowns."

Glitterknickaz · 23/11/2012 18:04

That's got to be a piss take

Blu · 23/11/2012 18:05

A lot of MNs refer to bubs or bubba (which incidentally I hate).

Well exactly!

Moominsummermadness · 23/11/2012 18:05

Horrendous. Also makes me think that anybody who would be stupid enough to buy this product couldn't be bothered to spend a few minutes feeding their baby properly, so that they can 'multitask', shouldn't really be having children at all. Time is precious to all of us, but surely everyone can spare time to feed their babies!!
