No it isn't and I am a bit worried DS is walking home from school! It does seem really dark for this time of day.

OwlLady · 21/11/2012 15:09

I looked in the mirror and couldn't see my face

It's happening

honeytea · 21/11/2012 15:13

It got dark at 2.30 here :/ the little girl I'm looking after went and put her pyjamas on and asked to go to bed.

I did think I saw Satyrs earlier but I live in rural Bedfordshire, it could have been anybody

Ohhh, do people actually think the world is going to end? I keep having serious anxiety about this. Sad

Trills · 21/11/2012 15:36

If it's not natural what is it?

Act of God?

Aliens?

Personally I just think it's a combination of the time of year and the weather.

CogitoErgoSometimes · 21/11/2012 15:43

YANBU... Blowing a gale, dark, just had a hail shower. Hang on a minute... it's not winter is it?

Alisvolatpropiis · 21/11/2012 15:45

Um...it's sunny where I am. Sunny and not raining. I live in Wales.

Thinking about it OP,there probably is something very wrong!

KellyEllyChristmasBelly · 21/11/2012 15:46

It's weird isn't it. It was dark this morning as well. We have an outside light at work which is triggered by dusk/darkness and it's been on all day since I came in at 9 this morning. Depressing weather :(

thegreylady · 21/11/2012 15:51

I am in Shropshire and we have clearish skies and the beginning of a lovely sunset :)
Where are you dwellers in the darkness?

degutastic · 21/11/2012 15:51

YABU to think it's an act of God or extra terrestrial activity Wink

YANBU to think it's unusual, unpleasant and just not cricket Sad

JuliaScurr · 21/11/2012 15:51

helped enormously by putting the clocks forward Hmm

YDdraigGoch · 21/11/2012 15:52

Chaps - it's November 21st, and it's raining. The shortest day is in 4 weeks. That's what happens this time of year - it gets light late and dark early, and inbetween it's frequently cloudy!

Plomino · 21/11/2012 15:53

It's been very dark since about 2 ish in the fens of Norfolk. Have just sent ds3 up to far end of field to get more wood before we lose all the light .

JuliaScurr · 21/11/2012 15:53

or back or whatever

tooshorttonotice · 21/11/2012 15:54

I blame the electric eels, they've run out of coins for the lecky meter and are now leeching the stuff directly from the Sun. Eels! Love em, hate em but don't trust em

MumsGoToReykjavik · 21/11/2012 15:56

It's lovely and light here, sun just made a late appearance and sky is lovely and pink and gold :-) No apocalpyse here in the North West i'm afraid.

CajaDeLaMemoria · 21/11/2012 15:58

The world won't end. This whole calendar ending thing bothers me hugely - it didn't end, they ran out of space, and moved on to another hut. We've found it. You can visit it. They did not predict doom.

It's not dark where I am either. It's been really bright all day, but it's just rained a little so it's a bit duller now. Probably still 2am light though...can see all the way down into the valley, and the sun in the tree.

Apparently there is torrential rain just over an hour away, where we have just moved from. Crazy.

complexnumber · 21/11/2012 15:58

Just one month until it all starts to sway the other way.

Though I never seem to notice the lighter mornings until about Feb.

Ephiny · 21/11/2012 16:00

The sky has gone a quite odd purply colour now Confused

SoleSource · 21/11/2012 16:00

Yanbu. I want one of those SAD boxes. They sell them in Maplins.

MumsGoToReykjavik · 21/11/2012 16:01

CajaDeLaMemoria - is that true? They found a calendar that continues after this December date?

OwlLady · 21/11/2012 16:07

oh solesopurce, i could do with a SAD box. We have had no sun all year :(
