Her book's not officially out for a week but WOW. What a bonkers statement. I really wish I could be that engaged in commerce and marketing. I might be rich.
Perhaps MN deleted a thread accusing India of saying things lifted from Alastair Campbell's blog because he quoted her column inaccurately and helped start the whole thing off. Given that it was inaccurate (always best to read the original before forming an opinion), I wouldn't be surprised if MN feared legal issues, but who knows.
I spoke at Mumsnet blogfest conference recently and found everyone I met so completely lovely and interesting and opinionated. I came away feeling so positively about the organisation. I've never read any threads before (I avoid things where someone feels the need to say "They're all slagging you off on mumsnet!", which they invariably do, because no one wants their weekend ruined by having to read nasty things about themselves), so this was my first. This thread is really depressingly unkind and unsisterly towards people you simply know nothing about. One thing for two women who know one another to be at loggerheads, another to see such personal attacks on someone who's never shown you any personal unkindness. I find it weird and disappointing.
Anyway, this has reminded me that I've got enough on my hands with Guardian commenters, and as I disagree so fundamentally with some of the points here, we could truly go on for days. So I really am leaving it now.
Take care,
