To think you should stay out of other people's bedrooms

pil's were just visiting ( for 10 days) and I lost track of the times FIL came into my bedroom. He normally has a problem with boundaries, and after being with dh for 15 years, i am used to it.

Either I was in there, or the dc's were, so to my knowledge he doesn't go in there alone, he doesn't snoop around, he just talks to whoever is in there.

But I would never go into another adults bedroom - we stayed at pil's house for six weeks and I don't think I ever went in their bedroom.

AIBU to think you should respect some spaces in other people's houses? Or is this normal behavior? and no , I didn't confront him.

I've never used a strap on tea, but I did take a look online earlier on and the majority of the instruments online seemed to be aimed at the women on women market.

There were a few extensions etc for men.

That's what I think when I think about a strap on.

And I certainly wouldn't arselick the Beardy one.

His arse is quite probably hairier than his beard.

[bleurgh]

PickledFanjoCat · 30/10/2012 23:11

Oh dear. There was me earlier on about to waste my time trying to talk to you reasonably about your view point.

What a waste of time that would have been.

Ohsiena · 30/10/2012 23:12

Well the. We ar all different then aren't we?

Jokes about strap ons wouldn't make me bat an eye, but jokes about angry fucking jar.

ScaryBeardyDeadyman · 30/10/2012 23:12

... aaaand while we were talking about sexual violence, there we have it

lovely

PickledFanjoCat · 30/10/2012 23:15

Oh wait she's a woman! It's ok.

And plenty of people enjoy a bit of bum sex. I don't understand why you are seeing violence in that to be honest.

Still carry on.

TeaBrick · 30/10/2012 23:17

Pickled, yes I'm sure more strap ons are bought by lesbian couples than hetero couples, but in the context of the op who has a dh, and it was suggested to her that she could leave one lying about to embarrass her fil. And then someone suggested that the crap incredible hulk joke was about sexual violence and inappropriate because it was made by a man, I was just trying to say that in fact a man would be more likely to be the penetratee than the penetrater in the context of a straight relationship, and therefore perhaps the joke wasn't as offensive as had been suggested.
Sorry does that even make sense?

ScaryBeardyDeadyman · 30/10/2012 23:19

I really hope I didn't piss off the hulk in that case Tea!

PickledFanjoCat · 30/10/2012 23:21

Hi tea! Yes it does make sense that's more how I read it.

I actually thought there might be an actual hulk on hence my look online.

I don't like sex toys.. Nasty buzzy things.

vixcyn · 30/10/2012 23:22

Well, Happy, you brought up ARSE LICKING...I am extremely offended by that term. I suppose though, since you are a woman using that verbiage it is ok, then?

Ohsiena · 30/10/2012 23:23

Could someone call the feminists over??

I'd like to stand back and watch while they address:

Then usage of the words angry and fucking together

The issue of men using violence sexual langauge towards women vs women using it themselves.

The argument that it's only a joke and offense just means you have no sense of humour.

That if it's a 'joke' you can't take offense- what are you uptight??

That some women can take male banter and some just can't.

That some women have been raped more times than you and they've still got a sense of humour, so what's wrong with you.

The idea that if you dislike someone elses point of view it's Ok to suggest they deserve, or want, their arse fucking.

Oh, how I'd like to see that.

vixcyn · 30/10/2012 23:25

Oshiena, who cares?

PickledFanjoCat · 30/10/2012 23:27

So your not a feminist then? You need to stir up a bit of trouble, the majority of which has not been said and "stand back" and watch an argument?

Sounds quite pathetic to be honest.

TeaBrick · 30/10/2012 23:28

Do any of the people who are upset about this know anything about the incredible hulk? Can't believe I'm asking that, but if you don't, and you don't know that his many features are green and angry, then you could think it was a joke about sexual violence. For all I know, the bloke who made the joke could be a right horrible misogynist, but if he is, that's not evidenced by that particular joke imo.

PickledFanjoCat · 30/10/2012 23:31

In fact we have only discussed points one and two.

I think bringing rape into this to prove a point about a comment you only said to find jarring is really quite questionable.

HappyHalloweenMotherFucker · 30/10/2012 23:31

Vixcyn, Sweetheart, your disingenuousness is rather endearing to attempt to pass off your personal attacks as somehow acceptable...

Why this doesn't work

  1. Arse licking (to curry favour with someone, a common term in usage)

versus

  1. "you are jealous and bitter"

"you want/need your arse fucking"

On a par with each other ? No.

MaryZcary · 30/10/2012 23:32

Oh, ffs.

What about an anti-male bias by some posters on this site.

I presume that's ok, because it's anti-male, not anti-female.

Just where is the "man using violent sexual language towards women"?

Your post is offensive to people who have been raped or who have been victims of sexual violence Hmm

PickledFanjoCat · 30/10/2012 23:32

I tried to enter a discourse with you Halloween until you made that childish schoolyard comment about arse licking.
