I have no belief in derren browns psychic ability. his usual hypnosis shows are blatantly all set up with actors/actresses. I have had many an argument about this in the past with dh. His current 'apocalypse' show- if it were real- would be a Jeremy beadle gone (far) too far. However, this apocalypse show is mildly entertaining. At least he is admiting that there are actors involved- though clearly guy who is supposed to be hypnotised is an actor too. (Dh thinks otherwise)

I'm pretty sure he is gay...not that that stops me admiring him for his pretty, pretty face intellect.

I don't know what to make of it.

I think the trick is not to overthink it and enjoy it for what it is.

I thought it was great fun,and it made my eyes a little misty at the end.

I've never seen any Derren before (it was the zombies that lured me) so it's perhaps easier for me as I have nothing to compare to.

I'm quite easily pleased - a few zombies,a bag of crisps,and something that'll choke me up a bit,and I'm happy!

So in the meantime I have to seek out stuff like Apocalypse for a little fix.

Not intricate? He engineered a zombie apocalypse, then manipulated every interaction the guy had post-apocalypse in order to make him realise that he was a good, strong, responsible adult and improve his life and you don't think that was intricate?

So if hes not a psychic....what is it that he does then? I always thought he was either a psychic or magician.....

After reading this thread of alternative theories yesterday, the show was a bit of a let down! I sat there waiting for the 'big twist' and nothing twisted

I still think he's great though...

The most unbelievable part for me was the zombies. I've seen too many zombie films and am sure I would have raised a muppet eyebrow if I were Steve. I reckon DB could have been more creative there, perhaps hoovers like the 2 Ronnies scetch?

Anyhoo, did enjoy it and have recorded it so might watch it again now I know I don't have to watch for clues to a big twist...

He is an entertainer, an actor and very good one too. I like the way makes me question the reality we are living in and the way he adds a twist to it.

i suppose in way it's made us all think about 'what would I do if that actualy happened'
