never name your boobs....coz that leads to cajoling and otherwise talking to them...and then there is the small chance they will talk back (usually after severe sleep deprivation etc) and that is where the boobphonics comes in....

ScaryBeardyDaddyMan - I think you should go back to your real posting name beginning with Silly.

You have the same preoccupations as the average 13 year old.

Yes I do Grin

I find it helps me stay young and beautiful and gives my beard a lustrous shine.

Scarybeardyman, my labrador would eat ANYTHING. Which makes me a bit scared to put my precious nips anywhere near her mouth.

On the other hand, my autistic ds fiddled with said dog's nipples so regularly a few years ago that she started to lactate. I caught him eyeing them up and explained that it wouldn't be a good idea. Shock

Goats and donkeys were used to feed orphans and abandoned babies, even in the UK up to the early 20th century. Because there could be contamination and infection once milked, the babies suckled the animals directly. They even had special harnesses that held babies under the donkeys. They matched goats with babies so each goat fed 'it's' baby. Life or death for those poor babies.

They used to recommend women suckle puppies in the last stages of pregnancy to ensure the milk came in, and, as said earlier, puppies were also used to remove milk from ill nursing mothers as it was believed to be contaminated. Fascinating rather than disgusting.

And, of course Tubbs in League of Gentlemen sets a fine example with her piglet Grin

I keep thinking about elephants....firstly there were/are all those orphaned elephants and they had real problems finding a milk that was compatible with baby elephants...

and then just recently there was a clip on the BBC website involving dragging an elephant out of a water hole...I was so struck by the fact that the first thing mum and baby elephant did when reunited was suckle. I felt so sorry for the elephants that their anatomy precludes a big group hug...then again my DD will occasionally respond to a stressful separation with an unusual mid day BF.

god! I have actually lost my mind...

PickledFanjoCat · 22/10/2012 17:35

Grin I remember reading something about the elephants..

One step at a time. Im going to start with a baby and see where that takes me.

ICBINEG · 23/10/2012 00:27

I think they probably tried human milk for the elephants but I am pretty sure that's not what turned out to work....

I am so very short of marbles today....
