breastmilk is becoming increasingly common used as a supplement to cancer treatment and provided by family members. I've supplied it twice now.
I express very efficiently and can fill bottles at an alarming rate so despite having 3 children I can manage to find the time to do this.
If someone can't express (and having a close family member dying from cancer can further inhibit this) then offering from source might feel like a reasonable alternative. The thing about this really is whether you really BELIEVE that breastmilk can play a significant part in keeping a family member alive. If so, a lot of people would do it I reckon.
