Just seen an advert for (I think) Hello magazine. Kerry is now cashing in on other peoples misery with her story that Jimmy Savile once "perved" over her. Nice.

I know I'm not bu but this has made me very cross. Who buys this shit?

I don't have a problem with this. What should she do? Not mention this coincidence for fear of a roasting hi a load of hypocritical haridans? It may seem distasteful that she earns a living by airing her dirty linen in public but what's her alternative. She has 4 children. She's desperate to give them life chances she didn't have. Reserve your hate for people of influence, for the wicked greedy people (men) who have power to make your lives worse.

Sounds to me like OK magazine are taking advantage of their "damaged" celebrity columnist to try to turn a serious subject that is now a massive criminal investigation into a sensationalist piece of celeb gossip.
I did see the cover in Superdrug today. I had a feeling this is what they had done without even picking the mag up and opening it.
SHAME ON THEM!

I have never been offended by a single word uttered or written by the insufferable woman. However, just seeing her face on TV/magazines irritates me!

Because I have successfully avoided her. I don't buy crap magazines, I don't watch shit telly.

It is distasteful that she makes her money airing her dirty linen in public. She should have more self respect, and more respect for the children who will never escape from this ever - the internet means that none of this will ever disappear. She is only one person, yet she has spawned four more in her image. If they each spawn 4 more, and they each...

Doesn't bear thinking about!

Crikey folk, that's nasty. Her kids are her world. She's made mistakes along the way, but by reading some of the threads about messy lives here on mumsnet, it's clear she's not alone!

I don't think Brian westlife has that much money either , Ive no problems with K K sending her children to whatever school she likes just I wish she would do something else instead of whinging and sobbing at every magazinedeal opportunity, she could have had a career after atomic kitten she chose a chaotic lifestyle and 'exclusives' nobody needs to like her or feel sorry for her,

I didn't say she had to prove it. I couldn't care a crap about her. All of these show business 'celebs' are by nature self centered publicity seeking ego centric twats .

by their nature they have to lie and invent stuff to get in the papers and make themselves more interesting or sensational.

I have no idea if kk has bipolar disease or not but its a good way for her publicist to cover up her drug addled rankings on breakfast tv isn't it.

I have no issues with her coming forward. However the correct place to do that was at the police station, if she really feels she can add something meaningful to the subject at hand. That way it can be properly investigated by the relevant authorities.

I do have issues with her trying to make money from it in a sleb mag.

This is far more serious than the usual who slept with who/said what/wore green gossip mag fodder.

It is a non-story and OK is a rag, which is sadly still in business because enough people still buy it. As regards KK, I feel sorry for her, she's clearly a total mess.

folk a lot do though.... And a 'JS survivor' was on national tv only this week doing the same. Claimed the fee went to charity, but if there was no worries about the Money making opportunity, why was the question if where his fee went ever even asked!?

The abused people should not be discussing it in my IMO....

Mm I suppose, but I have a similarly dim view of them too. It's just that once their fifteen minutes is over and done with, at least they never surface again (I'm talking specifically about the sort of people who have their 'true life' stories laid out for the world to see in the likes of Take a Break)

If KK didn't have the profile to be spouting off about her business in glossy magazines she'd be JK fodder.

I always feel sorry for Kerry Katona. I think she is a very mixed up vulnerable person who gets exploited by those around her.

I think OK are the culprits here. I saw this item on its cover in the shops yesterday and thought it was really distasteful. But then, this is the magazine that is constantly bombarding us with 'tragic' tales about Chantelle.....

Sorry but having some old bloke give you the once over in passing,when you're 18 is not unusual. It does not make you a victim. She was pretty before her lifestyle ruined her looks. No doubt many men gave her the once over and she thought nothing of it. It's only because this one bloke happened to be Jimmy Savile that is feels the need to mention it.

This is very unpleasant bandwagon jumping by a very unpleasant woman.

Does she feel equally traumatized of the pics of her circulating the internet; legs akimbo I believe? Has she ever scripted a thoughtful piece of the trauma of knowing that her body is a click away somewhere? NO? Why not?
Cos it wouldn't fucking occur to her to do so until someone tapped the bars of her cage with a tin cup and said
"Here Kerry, couple of bob in it for you if you mention you saw JS once. And hye looked at ye"
I can hear her lightbulbs going ping, before dimming into nothingness once mroe.

And by the fucking way, I am bi-polar. Yeah. take that.
She ain't no fucking poster child for it. Myself, I think her coke style added a certain fizz to her that is hard to tell the difference on occasions
