Why would you want your little boy to have long hair?

Seriously, every time i watch Eastenders and Sharons kid comes on all i can think is "you need a haircut"

YABU

Are you afraid the long haired boys might catch the gay? Hmm

StuntGirl · 17/10/2012 22:29

YABVU.

WilsonFrickett · 17/10/2012 22:29

Omg. I must wake DS up NOW and shear his hair! someone on the internet says it is the rule

Bunnyjo · 17/10/2012 22:30

Haha, Ineed. I was told the same when my DS was about 1mth old. The back of his hair was down by his shoulder blades by the time I mustered the gumption to cut his hair, he was 7mth old!

FreudiansGoldSlipper · 17/10/2012 22:31

just had to have ds hair cut today as he is not allowed hair long than his collar at school :( its still not short but prefer it longer

amistillsexy · 17/10/2012 22:31

Boys should have buzz cuts, wear army surplus and carry guns.

Girls should have their long hair in plaits, wear long skirts and blouses with frilly collars.

We should all adhere to The Rules and Be Normal. Where would we be if people actually started to have free will and a mind of their own? Shock

Loobylou222 · 17/10/2012 22:33

I don't particularly like boys with long hair but each to their own.

Sharon's son on we is incredibly annoying, maybe his hair wouldn't be so bad if it was styled, not just hanging off his head!

Lol re the sharons hair comment IvorHughJackolantern.

Loobylou222 · 17/10/2012 22:33

Ee lol damn auto correct!

MarsLady · 17/10/2012 22:34

Yes you are.

My long-haired youngest boy looks gorgeous and adores his hair. His much older brother is completely jealous that his hair is a different texture and doesn't fall as well as his younger brother and therefore he keeps his hair short.

Horses, courses. Meat and poison. Don't worry if you don't like it. Your sons don't have to wear their hair long... unless they move in with me (and that is not an offer lol)

TonyMontanasGun · 17/10/2012 22:38

Haha no im not scared they will catch "the gay" i just think it looks silly.

Do gay people have long hair or summat?

Boys with long hair catch the gay!

Fact

3monkeys3 · 17/10/2012 22:42

Of course YABU! My dh and ds1 both have pretty long hair - ds2 will too when it gets there (he's still little). They are bloody gorgeous and look like boys!

WorraLiberty · 17/10/2012 22:43

The guy who owns my local Barber shop has a little girl aged about 7 or 8.

She has her hair shaved really short into a number 2 or 3 at the back, and really long at the front...covering one eye.

Both feminine and masculine at the same time...it's totes amazeballs.

3monkeys3 · 17/10/2012 22:43

PS - I have asked my ds many times if he wants a short haircut and he always says No! He thinks his hair is very cool.

I can hardly insist on short hair on my son when his dads hair is down to his waist!

(DS is 13 weeks old and currently balding...however, if his similarity to his big sister continues he will grow beautiful golden curls in a year or two!)

Some hair looks good short, some looks good long, girl or boy, man or woman.

IvorHughJackolantern · 17/10/2012 22:45

Ahhh I used to have such hair Worra, when I was young and funky. Now I fear I would look rather like a potato wearing a dodgy syrup Sad

I think hair should be hairy. That is all I ask of it.

OutragedAtThePriceOfFreddos · 17/10/2012 22:47

For me the problem with long hair on boys when they get to school is that they can't do clips so they constantly have hair over their faces. At least when girls have long hair they wear clips or hair bands so you can see what they are trying to say when they aren't looking right at you.

3monkeys3 · 17/10/2012 22:52

You know, this is just on of those things where people differ and neither side will be persuaded to change their view on it. My ds has long hair - I love it and so does he, it's gorgeous - my dh has a mad, surfy, afro thing going on, which is also amazing but he gets the mick taken constantly for it (he doesn't care) plus a beard, which he is sexy enough to pull off - lots of people don't like those either. That's just his style and it suits him - my ds is finding his own style too, which is lovely to see.

Why are people giving me biscuits? What does it mean???

DD2 had a hair cut again today and was mistaken yet again for a boy.... She is getting used to being called Laddie but always looks at me as if to say Don't they know I'm Me?

OK she is wearing her Scotland rugby top but the Hello Kitty socks and the glasses frames sort of give it away. And her haitcut is very Emma Watson chic......

I think penises look a bit silly, I'll go and fetch my scissors...

DioneTheDiabolist · 17/10/2012 22:55

YABU
Nuff said.

ReallyTired · 17/10/2012 22:58

Me thinks that the OP hasn't got enough to do.

I don't mind long or short hair on either sex. However if children do have long hair then they need to tie it back for school.
