I used to be fascinated by it as a teenager.

Just came across a Diana Garland video on Youtube. She is an Astrologist. My September predictions for Aries was utter poppycock.

An astrologer once told my mum her dd (me) would be found dead in a ditch within the year.

That was 23 years ago.

That is fascinating and a bit like the religious teaching that if you believe you can move a mountain, then you can.

Reading about astrology on wikipedia, the Catholic Church is against it. It believes that it detracts from free will and the ultimate power of God. But there is no such thing as ultimate free will. There are constraints of nature on all of us. Placebo effect and other forces are beyond our conscious control.

Astrology is just a pattern of nature, different signs born in different parts of the year differ in some patterns of behaviour more than people born under the same sign. It is not an exact science but there is a correlation.

I kinda like it-not really a woo type person, but I do appear to have the personality traits of an aquarian and get on awfully with scorpions lol....

Weather has an effect on mood. If it's a lovely sunny day, most people are happier. If it is a stormy, windy, wet day, most people are less happy than in summer. Storms, winds, sun, sea, light, dark, day, night etc. all change people's mood. It is the same with the weather during different seasons or in different star signs. The imprint of nature affects people differently based on which time they are born. Leos are more extrovert than Pisces in general.

Not much variation in microclimate in the delivery suite of my local hospital, claig, so unsurprisingly my dc all have very similar personalities.

Hooray for New Mexico. Presumably that means I still have a star sign there but not where I am. I must start acting differently depending on where I am.

It's pants, me and dh (pre dcs) used to love reading out our horoscopes in the Sunday papers and howl with laughter.

Dunno how this whole weather thing is supposed to work in England, of all places. We can have blazing sunshine one minute & thunderstorms the next. So, confused babies, I suppose.

The weather is not the cause, it is only a symptom. The underlying influences are the planetary rays, cosmic rays and movements. Over millenia, humans have noticed patterns of star sign behaviour and their correlation to animal-like constellations in the heavens. It is a folk knowledge like folk medicine and old wives' tales handed down over centuries. It is the accumulation of folk wisdom over millenia.
