Posts, although sometimes I will see a post that makes me cross, look and see who posted it and go Shock because it's someone I usually agree with or have 'liked'.

Hullygully · 10/10/2012 16:20

yes, how weird were pen friends??

I don't want pms, I get literally 100s a day, can't keep up.

TantrumsAndBalloons · 10/10/2012 16:21

Hullygully · 10/10/2012 16:21

Only notice names of posters on AIBU who will not accept they Abu and then get really defensive.

ExitPursuedByAaaaaarGhoul · 10/10/2012 16:22

Me neither Tantrums.

PunkInDublic · 10/10/2012 16:22

I try to only look at posts, sometimes a past post will float into my mind. If it's relevant i.e. past problems relating to the current I'll post. If it's somethingthat pissed me off royally I felt strongly about and I think it'll colour my response I try to just hide and walk away.

Another MNer is on my FB and we chat a bit and she did me a massive favor recently and as a result is attending my wedding. I do tend to if I see her. She's the only person who's name really jumps out at me.

Pagwatch · 10/10/2012 16:22

I AM NEEDY!

I think it is hormones.

Being needy and an endless urge to drnk wine. All new symptoms of the old age thing

ObiWan · 10/10/2012 16:23

I've only ever had one pm.

It was from Chaos, so the odds are high that it wasn't even intended for me. Probably a phone malfunction.

I suppose I'm lucky it was just the one really.

TantrumsAndBalloons · 10/10/2012 16:23

exit shall we PM each other 100s of times a day?

ViviPru · 10/10/2012 16:23

Deffo both.

PunkInDublic · 10/10/2012 16:23

Underscore fail. Add me to your spreadsheets and judge my posts accordingly in the future.

ExitPursuedByAaaaaarGhoul · 10/10/2012 16:24

I have nothing to say

LRDtheFeministDragon · 10/10/2012 16:24

Bit of both. Some posters you can tell before you click on a title, that they wrote it (chaos?!). I like that.

TantrumsAndBalloons · 10/10/2012 16:24

No neither do I.

How boring we are Grin

ThatBloodyKnid · 10/10/2012 16:25

Is it possible to send PMs to yourself?

Pagwatch · 10/10/2012 16:26

I got a penpal in Germany when I was 11.

She wrote once in perfunctory manner then sent me a picture of herself and asked me to show it too all the boys I knew and ask them to write to her.

The picture was taken from a long way away yet she looked very like Mrs Hogget. The boys all said fuck off no thanks.
It was a short correspondence.

posts, but I do respond to posters on a thread if they have made a good point etc.

Absy · 10/10/2012 16:26

Paggy, are you upduffed? Is that why you're hormonal? [concerned face]

I ahve been thinking some more

  1. If it's some I know, I respond to posters
  2. If it's someone I don't, posts

For 1 - if you do "know" someone it would be awfully rude not to respond to them, and generally mill about and ignore them.

OhDeerHauntingFENTON · 10/10/2012 16:27

Answer the question Everlong, who were you ??

::shines torch::

DizzyHoneyBee · 10/10/2012 16:28

Also, do you not post because of who has started the thread? Do you ignore new/unknown people

Pagwatch · 10/10/2012 16:30

Too old for upduffed.

I like knowing people on a thread but I like reading posts because of their content. They are not mutually exclusive I think.
But I can see how some feel outside a bit if it feels like everyone else is chatting.
