Having been a member of MN since 2003 I have seen and read some disgusting comments from other members particuarly on this board.

I am starting to think that some of these people must be very sad and insecure.

Some of the names that are called are disgusting and I am sure that these people would never go up to someone in RL and call them that.

And do not get me started on the "I am better than you because I can spell" attitude which seems to be the final insult if all else fails.

Other comments include

"troll" "Oh not another thread" etc.

It is cyber bullying at the end of the day and as mothers shouldn't we all just grow up a bit? The MN team do a great job of deleting such posts but often the OP has seen it and the damage is already done.

I guess the answer to my question (thanks for the congrats btw H) is that its a standard oldie-goading thread, nothing to see here.

Perhaps you should have Pmd them back and told them to post then, instead of informing posters on this thread there was a secret conversation going on via pm about them. If you were just frustrated. And in no way shit stirring.

Chub, tough has just posted that she did PM them back to ask them to post on the thread. She has also posted that the PMs were not personal.

The 'ilk' thing comes from another of these threads, tough - it was used in a disparaging way but we've rather adopted it.

And tbf, the only person we've confirmed has been bullied is LeQ . If Tough won't name the Vile Poster and the OP won't name the Cunt Caller, what have we left but rumours of PMs and speculation?

You say that there are multiple people messaging you and letting you take the flak for calling anyone who turns this thread (or perhaps you mean that they just generally do and are referring to several threads? ) into general witterings after the OP appears to have disappeared, or at least refused to substantiate her claim, "boring", yes? And that they feel too intimidated to come and cry "boring" themselves? And you think that is a shame, yes?

And it's not personal, it's all just directed at anyone who mentioned paint, because nobody knows who they were, right?

I'm sorry, because I don't want to have an argument especially- I'm going to watch a film soon anyway- but I still think that is a little mean-spirited, yes. Perhaps you didn't realise how that would come across?
