It can effect the reading of the smear test and makes it much more likely you will be recalled. Easier just to re arrange the appointment than risk a scare!

I took a swab from a woman at a gum clinic and they look at it under the microscope straight away too see if there are any obvious bugs there, before sending it off for proper testing. And lo and behold, there were some wee sperm! T'was quite fascinating!

Happened to me! I had sex at 1 o'clock and smear sometime before 3 o'clock!
I was a bit when the doctor said "it all looks HEALTHY" down there with a lot of emphasis!!!
Oh and the result was inconclusive!
