she has posted this book review. of all the books to review she's chosen one by mumsnet. what a coincidence (not) she must read the posts on here and thought she would make a blatant attempt to be liked. i for one cannot warm to her after the press articles.

What an odd OP! And, having read the blog, which I'm guessing is your actual purpose, she didn't choose the book, she was asked to review it.

It was a nice review, and nice to see someone have something positive to say about MN for a change what's the problem with her?

I don't think she's sucking up to mn. She is a young mum who likes the book. We all like the book too.Her dc are quite young so presumably she wouldn't have had much interest in Mumsnet or their books before she had them. As for the newspaper reports, well there are 2 sides to every story aren't there and you can be sure a newspaper will twist and contrive a story until it gets a headline. I think we're all savy to that carry on nowadays.

I liked the review. MN is influential; you can't expect ppl not to refer to it in public , so it's good that she was so positive about MN.

I think that's a very nicely-written piece actually. Don't see why you feel the need to call a positive review "sucking up".

She is a blogger who was torn to shreds here a while back on a thread.

OP - that's a bit of a heartless thread to start. Just read the link you provided, and in the first paragraph CM is talking very honestly about her three miscarriages, which I found quite moving actually.

Why would you start such a nasty thread OP, what are you hoping for?
This has made me a bit sad. This and all the 'we hate such and such a celebrity' ones, that seem to have cropped up lately

Funnys - YY. Cherry Menlove threads have a habit of being bumped by a one-off poster. They zombie to life every time she has a negative news story - so I am guessing it's not La Menlove herself, rather someone who really doesn't like her.

Tbh, I have been on threads about Cherry before, and I have to say much as she has been ridiculed and insulted on MN, she has never - to my knowledge - said anything nasty about MN and for her to offer such a even handed review of the MN book is actually very fair.

She knows, because she will see the links to her blog from MN when we are talking about her.

I also think that the post was a very honest and moving account of her miscarriages, and her fear when she was pregnant with her twins.

Good on her. She does no one any harm, and if people enjoy reading her blog, then good luck to her.
