I do feel sorry for her after seeing these pics
www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2208159/Chantelle-Houghton-stocks-Red-Bull-anticipates-sleepless-nights-ahead-single-mother.html. Not only has her husband gone AWOL but she's doing the shop and looks exhausted.

There are just as many empty headed boys chasing fame as there are girls. I don't think it's a purely female failing.

no It isn't you just have to see Big brother contestants or X factor or some 'boy' hanging out inNightclubs with famous women,

I don't understand it at all I never buy gossip magazines not to feel that im too intelligent for them just ive no interest in non celebs they don't do anything. On a bigger scale the Kardashians are just like chantelle/kerry/immogen

CakeBump · 25/09/2012 15:33

oops missing a know Blush

Tweasels · 25/09/2012 15:35

Surely, the problem here is though that we don't know whether or not she does deserve sympathy because we don't know her, don't know what really goes on in her life.

If you choose to live your life in the public eye. And by that I mean making a point of talking and being filmed about the aspects of life most "celebrities" would like to keep quiet then you will have to expect this kind of reaction.

She might be having a really hard time or she might be having the time of her life. We only know what she chooses to portray in the media which sadly will probably be whatever gives her the most column space. Now for that, I truly do feel sorry for her.

hiviolet · 25/09/2012 15:38

It's all utterly stage managed and fake. Her life wouldn't have any meaning if she didn't get papped every day doing some banal shit and putting on exaggerated facial expressions. People like her make me lose faith in humanity, honestly.

Longdistance · 25/09/2012 15:42

I've actually met her in real life through my previous job. She is lovely in real life, and ditsy. I do feel sorry for her. That Alex seems a right plonker. Not right for her at all.
Think the baby is gorgeous, but all this press on her is way too much.
As for the Red Bull, maybe she bought it for a guest, or friend.
I wish I looked as good as her after 9 weeks. I still look a mess, and mine are 3 yo and 15mo. My clothes look like they're only worthy of being snotted on Hmm

Tweasels · 25/09/2012 15:44

And you're right cachu. I probably am making a whole bunch of assumptions as I admit I don't know much about the situation. I didn't know she'd even had a baby let alone to Jordan's ex.

I'm not so much bothered about her/him/their situation. It's just this idea that this is a potential career path. She wanted to be famous and has succeeded isn't something that should necessarily be celebrated.

It's just not a good example to young people that this is what you need to do to succeed.

Pah, I'm getting old..........

squoosh · 25/09/2012 15:44

I save my ire for the Kardashians and their wholesale pimping of their families souls.

Mrsjay · 25/09/2012 15:46

I save my ire for the Kardashians and their wholesale pimping of their families souls.

Kris Jenner sold their souls to E television Grin

WorraLiberty · 25/09/2012 15:48

Wow some very harsh comments here directed at this young woman.

She chose to get involved with Jordan's 'sloppy seconds'?

Does that mean we're all involved with someone else's 'sloppy seconds'?

That's not how I view my DH and I know that's not how he views me (thankfully)

Tweasels · 25/09/2012 15:50

Worra, has your DH slept with Jordan? Grin

WorraLiberty · 25/09/2012 15:53

Not unless she drugged him and returned him home Grin

I just hate the phrase 'sloppy seconds' when talking about human beings

If anyone has had a previous relationship (and most of us have) that makes us all sloppy seconds.

akaemmafrost · 25/09/2012 15:56

Hmm - Preston.
Hmm- Rav
Confused - Alex

There's a common denominator here isn't there?

shesariver · 25/09/2012 15:57

Just because she has allegedly set up photo opportunities in the past does not mean necessarily that this is the case here, the DM also have a history of being obssessed with certain people and stalking them virtually to fill the entertainment section with various pointless articles about them. The article is so badly written - how many times does it mention shes a single Mum for a start? Taking a photo of someones shopping - really? Yes well we all realise celebs have to eat and shock horror even do their own shopping sometimes. But ther must be a market for it.....

Some of the comments here a bit Hmm, especially "taking" a man "off his seemingly quite nice French girlfriend"....yes because men are like puppy dogs and its all her fault eh!

TheLightPassenger · 25/09/2012 15:57

I feel a bit sorry for her, as it can't be easy having a bit of a tool for an ex, and a young baby.

Tuttutitlookslikerain · 25/09/2012 15:57

Christ some of you are fucking nasty!

She is a young girl, with a newborn going through a relationship breakup. Give her a break.

It must be bloody lovely to be as perfect as you lot!

As for "sloppy seconds" just wrong, I agree with Worra on that one

Tweasels · 25/09/2012 15:59

It is a horrible phrase.

Also, in the non celebrity world surely as a woman it will be quite hard to find a man that Jordan hasn't had some kind of relationship with.

wordfactory · 25/09/2012 16:01

tut she is indeed a woman (I dispute she's a young girl) with a new born, going through a break up.

So what on earth is she doing posing for these photos? And she is posing. The child could not be shown without her consent.

Nancy66 · 25/09/2012 16:04

The photos are being taken by freelance photogaphers who sell them to an agency and that agency then puts them around to the media.

With someone like Chantelle, she'll tip off photographer and agree a 50/50 split.

I have no doubt that's what happened here.

Photos appear of her looking: 'tired', 'emotional' 'tearful' or whatever - then she can go to Ok magazine and flog a 'truth about my breakdown' story.

WorraLiberty · 25/09/2012 16:12

wordfactory re consent

The Editors code of practice says "Clause 6 (ii) of the Editors? Code, which states a child must not be interviewed or photographed on issues involving their welfare unless a custodial parent or similarly responsible adult consents".

I doubt this is a welfare concern so they probably didn't need parental permission....just like Peaches Geldorf didn't give her permission after the pram tipping incident.

Mrsjay · 25/09/2012 16:13

she isn't a young girl she is in her late 20s with a baby she isn't a young teen girl she sells pictures like has been pointed out , these pictures do nothing for her except get peoples backs up about how false she is, NOBODY is saying it is easy to be a single parent with a young baby but to set up pictures for money is slightly off,

ewww @sloppy seconds though

CakeBump · 25/09/2012 16:31

tut she is a woman who has sold her relationship/breakup/baby/whatever-the-fuck-else-happens-in-her-life ALL OVER the tabloid media.

If she even wanted "a break" from it all she should stfu and stop selling every sordid detail of her crappy life to OK!

Wheresmypopcorn · 25/09/2012 19:30

I just can't bring myself to dislike her. Celebrity must be great when it all people sending you free stuff and fawning all over you and making loads of money but I would really have hated to be photographed when I was a new mum - my hormones were all over the place! Alex doesn't seem like a very nice guy, upping and leaving at this stressful time. Mind you, he did survive that circus of a wedding with Jordan with her swearing in the church - he didn't walk out then as there was a lot of money at stake.

OP posts:
Wheresmypopcorn · 25/09/2012 19:32

Ah yes, Kim Karcrashian/Kwikkashian with her trowels of makeup. She does annoy me but not more than her mumager. I wonder if she manages to take it off every night or just leaves it on and then tops it up the next day.

Niceupthedance · 25/09/2012 19:40

Dear Chantelle,

If you are not getting much sleep, drinking Red Bull is not going to help you get more.

HTH

IvorHughJanus · 25/09/2012 19:40

She came home one day to find Alex dressed as Roxanne, wanking like a demented chimp

Ow fucking ow I laughed and banged my head on the table!

I feel sorry for her; as someone else has said already, she's a new mum who has recently split from her partner who was recently arrested for forcing himself into the family home when she didn't want him there. If I think about her at all (which I hadn't until this point) then yes, I feel sympathy.
