To think that if a thread is pulled due to troll hunting

and MNHQ have evidence/reason to suspect that the poster is either a troll or not a troll, it would be nice if we could be told. or something! I'd certainly like to know if someone had taken me for a mug.

Just thinking aloud so feel free to ignore me but just because someone has posted for a while can they not post made up stories? that poster reminded me of someone else on here who was banned. Posted frequently and had the most terrible luck in life and posted every 5 minutes with more and more incredible stories.

kitchen islands are magnet for squalor. As are artisanal (zat a word even?) dishes of any kind. It is all their fault.

Maryzed suggested an automatic suspend posting thing if enough people reported a thread IIRC - to discourage the wankers who post hateful things late at night and the like. That has always seemed like an excellent plan to me.

You know, Ive been on here for over two years (have nc once) and some threads I just find so depressing, I know they are trolling, its the emotional ones that piss me of.

So, what would the reason behind suspending a thread be? what would happen/ would it disappear and then come back, or just be stuck there in our "threads i'm on" list taunting us?

The idea is that we could suspend a thread where the OP is suspected of trolling - or there was some other worry/concern - while we investigated.

That could mean the thread doesn't get deleted for just becoming a trollhunt (as can happen now) and the OP still has a chance to get the support/advice she was looking for.
