No I'm not.

I couldn't care less what emotive flannel is flung about.

IT. IS.NOT.ACCEPTABLE.

The end.

Ah, spoke too soon. Bugger.

Hullygully · 21/09/2012 18:01

That'll be me then.

So EVERYTHING is subject to context?

Like nig nog?

Or just the stuff you don't mind?

QLB the world would be a nicer place if you didn't imagine what posters thought or said about you and just made your point rationally and accurately without resorting to cryptic clues.

Feel free to attack me again. You did it yesterday, but because I'm an adult, I can cope with it.

seeker · 21/09/2012 18:02

Context is important. But there is no context in which it's OK for someone who isn't a close family member or possibly a close friend to call a 32 year old woman a "young girl". Even the dictionary definitions agree!

cynner · 21/09/2012 18:04

so Atacareer..in the context you just posted. All who disagree with you are complete idiots?..

QuickLookBusy · 21/09/2012 18:09

Limited i actually dont have a clue what the hell you are talking about, could you explain your first sentence please?
Cryptic clues???

QuickLookBusy · 21/09/2012 18:11

In fact don't bother Limited. Your post is nasty, came out of no where and once again just shows there are utter some utter twats on MN.

QuickLookBusy · 21/09/2012 18:11

utter

TiggyD · 21/09/2012 18:12

I think it's OK if you're over 90.

SuePurblybilt · 21/09/2012 18:14

Oh my woolly word, it's like Topsy Turvy world here atm. HOW was limited's post nasty, and you implying she is an utter twat is OK?

Hullygully · 21/09/2012 18:16

98 Tiggy and you've got a deal. The exception I'll agree to.

thebody · 21/09/2012 18:17

I do see your point hully, if it grates on you it grates.

I do think context is very important as are the whole circumstances and age etc of the person.

I still don't feel insulted by being called a bar maid but though!

QuickLookBusy · 21/09/2012 18:17

I was responding in kind Sue.

PARD had descended then someone comes along to stir things up again.

Hullygully · 21/09/2012 18:17

The one exception. A practising 98 yr old Chief Constable (female)

QLB Cryptic refers to this:

I said I realise this and the other threads are very emotive for me, due to my own recent experiences.

I don't understand what you are talking about it. I apologise if you explained it and I missed it.

As it's Friday and I want to drink wine, move on, and not have rancour with people, how about we agree this:

  1. What happened to those two police officers was terrible.
  1. Sometimes in moments of extremity people say regrettable things.
  1. In general terms we must all work together to make sure women have respect, peace and love the same as men and fight things that work against this, such as language, when we can.

Any takers?

OP posts:
QuickLookBusy · 21/09/2012 18:29

I don't think you have to understand the details of what I'm talking about.

I think what I said was sufficient to explain why I'd had such an emotion response to these threads.

QuickLookBusy · 21/09/2012 18:30

That was to Limited.

Blistory · 21/09/2012 18:30

Jessie, you're referring to the earrings, right ? Otherwise I'm more lost than I thought.

What you smoking in that pipe, Hully ? Can I mix it with antibiotics ?

Hullygully · 21/09/2012 18:31

Oh the EARRINGS!

Yeah man, it's cool

OP posts:
QuickLookBusy · 21/09/2012 18:33

Takes peace pipe and has a good old suck.
