That will accept bad credit?

I've had to apply for income support since ex left me and my claim hasn't gone through yet, so i've been using my child tax credits to buy food and just leaving everything else for now - It will get paid, its just that food is more important right now - My stupid effing bank have taken 70 quid in charges. So i have zero money until next saturday.

They wont give me a crisis loan because exOH had 3 on a joint claim when he was unemployed and we were waiting for a joint claim to go through.

I wouldn't even consider a pay day loan if i weren't desperate, but i am and i was wondering if any one knew any that will accept basically anybody, I don't even care if theyre dodgy or charge shit loads, i just need to buy food for my child and i'm getting angry with my bank and these shit charges and everything just seems so unfair right now. Please dont lecture me on how shit payday loans are, i know they are, but atm needs must.

Orange - I'm with natwest, Theyre always doing it. I've never gone majorly overdrawn, (It's only ever by about £2) and i always pay the charges on time, but they wont give me an arranged overdraft to prevent me getting charges, so i end up short the next month and end up a couple of quid overdrawn again. They don't always tell me i have charges either, they just take it.

Definitely get your bank charges paid back - bastards. Don't scream and shout, just explain and cry a little. WRT to payday loans, DO NOT DO IT! Try every avenue before you go there, including borrowing a tenner from you mum, neighbours, friends etc. Please, in your situation do not enter into a contract with these sharks.

PopOozeTheFastest · 16/09/2012 23:10

Are you working OP? I may be wrong, but I always thought you could only get a payday loan if you were in employment.

hlipop · 16/09/2012 23:10

for the clothes this website Link hopefully should help

Dordeydoo · 16/09/2012 23:10

Near me I have small independent shops where u can take clothes, they weigh them then give you cash. You get given x amount per kilo. I am in the south. Where abouts are you? Will look to see if you have any near you

NCForNow · 16/09/2012 23:11

You need to do as Oranges said because I am sure they are not allowed to take benefits!

NCForNow · 16/09/2012 23:12

pop no....sadly the bastards take advantage of those on no income as well as those with low incomes.

hlipop · 16/09/2012 23:12

or this[[http://www.clothesforcash.com/?gclid=CJC884iPu7ICFUXKtAodIH8A6w Link]] is better??

Dordeydoo · 16/09/2012 23:13

Am I right in thinking that food banks usually deliver?

NCForNow · 16/09/2012 23:13

I am sure they have things in place so they can deliver *Doreydoo"

jellybaby25 · 16/09/2012 23:14

Try this website to find a food bank: www.trusselltrust.org/foodbank-projects Or just google your town's name and foodbank. Good luck!

Tempernillo · 16/09/2012 23:14

See what you're saying nc, but most people have sugar/salt in anyway and yeast costs pence if you don't buy quick action stuff... Like I said wasn't trying to be patronising but I often find myself with no cash left at the end of the month and I've found I've scraped something together from stuff out if the cupboards. But realise there will be some essentials that you need cash for op.

Dordeydoo · 16/09/2012 23:15

Thought that might be helpful for OP as there may be one they can't get to but will deliver to her

NCForNow · 16/09/2012 23:19

Should add...FareShare are a food bank...they get groceries to people when they can't afford to buy them.

LoveBox · 16/09/2012 23:20

QOD- natwest shouldn't be charging you if you are only £2 overdrawn. To my knowledge, they only start charging (£6 a day) once you are over £6 overdrawn. No, they won't warn you- this is all in your terms and conditions.

They refunded me £96 in charges once when I rang them in tears just before Christmas. Definitely worth giving them a ring and explaining!

Tempusfugitinflagrantedelicto · 16/09/2012 23:24

You can apply for a Crisis Loan - you and your exOH Crisis Loan records need to be separated (can be done by the person taking the application over the phone)and the person who took the Crisis Loan out becomes solely liable for them. Presuming your sole debt is below the £1500.00 threshold you should be able to apply as an "alignment to benefit" (where you have applied for benefit but are waiting for your first payment). Be prepared to account for how your money has been spent, and that they generally help with emergency food, gas and electric (on meters) only (are limited exceptions like nappies, baby food/milk, not sure how old your child is).
Hopefully you'll get someone more helpful than before, but I beg you not to go down the payday loan route.
If all else fails your Jobcentre should be able to provide details of emergency foodstores.
Good Luck!

OrangeImperialGoldBlether · 16/09/2012 23:36

Here you are. NatWest is part of RBS hence this email address:

[email protected]

Les Matheson is Managing Director of Retail Products.

Add up how much you have spent in fees over the last year.

Add up how much overdrawn you were (over the limit, I mean) over that year.

For me, the fees grossly outweighed the over-the-limit figure.

Write to this man. Tell him the hardship you are suffering. Tell him the ages of your children and if you work, mention that, too. Tell him how long you've been with NatWest.

Stress the fact that you are now, because of the fees, forced to go for a payday loan and the thought of this is causing you tremendous stress and will cause you tremendous financial hardship.

Ask him whether he can arrange for the charges to be withdrawn.

Best of luck.

CelstialNavigation · 16/09/2012 23:38

I would definately suggest querying the charges with Nat West this time, as they are meant to be being very understanding about customer's charges at the moment - due to the huge inconvenience they caused to their customers this summer.

nailak · 16/09/2012 23:53

phone the bank. explain, they should reverse the charges.

nailak · 16/09/2012 23:53

TheQueenOfDiamonds · 16/09/2012 23:55

queen... whereabouts in the nw? ive been in your situation in the nw

LadySybildeChocolate · 17/09/2012 00:38

Banks are not supposed to take charges out of your account if you only have benefits going in. I'd kick up a stink.

LadySybildeChocolate · 17/09/2012 00:42

This may help, it's worth a shot
