To wonder if it's ever ok to wear hot pants on the school run?

That's it really, SIL wore denim ones today. Our children go to the same school and I was quite surprised at her choice of attire for my nieces first day. I can't imagine my mother ever turning up in a pair of teeny tiny shorts at school. It was a bit weird.

I would wear them with thick tights in the winter. I don't have cellulite and am slim, but I only wear teeny shorts with bare legs in the garden.

I'd rather see hot pants and leg flesh than a muffin top, or bingo wings and arms like sides of ham spilling out of vest tops any day...

BitOutofPractice - lol..I work part time, so on a work day I'm pretty organised and dressed properly (although rarely made up). On days off I seem to be hopelessly disorganised somehow!

After walking behind this fat woman in lace leggings and a thong, with a halterneck top that made her seem topless from behind, I'm very forgiving of most attires. :o

depends on your age. if you're over 8, 'hot pants' will just make you look like a prostitute. if that's the look you're aiming for, that's fine, i have nothing against prostitutes and their children need taking to school just like anyone else's.
