To think Peaches Geldof should have strapped her baby in?

and also, put the phone down when her baby fell out of his pram!

Have just seen photos of her poor baby tumbling out of his pram onto a pavement. I know the council should have sorted the pavement out, but he wouldnt have fallen out if he was strapped in :(

sorry for The Sun link

Jeez.

Hadn't read the thread when I posted about my ds falling out of his pram at 6 months. I must have been a shitter of a mother too. Oh no I remember it was because I'd just got my 3 and 4 year olds off to nursery/school and was probably knackered. Hmm

Fwiw I like Peaches and I liked her mum too. Obviously don't know them but they seem nice.

Don't be to judgey folk. You never know where your little parenting misdemeanour is around the corner Wink

HumphreyCobbler · 10/09/2012 11:33

I agree SomersetONeil.

I hate all this.

Pickles77 · 10/09/2012 11:34

That's shocking but I can't believe the pap didn't help!!

FreudiansGoldSlipper · 10/09/2012 11:34

what so she can be forgiven by the likes of you kayano Hmm

i am quite sure she feels pretty crap about it what mother wouldn't and 100 times worse as so many like yourself are pointing out what a terrible MISTAKE she has made

i woudl rather she took to twitter and tell all those judging her to fuck right off and go and polish your halos but she won't

ScooseIsLoose · 10/09/2012 11:35

I don't think anyone is judging her for a simple mistake I am certainly not but she would get a lot more sympathy if she just admitted to the mistake.

Prarieflower · 10/09/2012 11:37

No if this was a mum down my street I'd bite my lip however a mum down my street doesn't Tweet pics daily, have a "celeb" life to push and wouldn't lie/blame "dangerous" London streets(yeah right) in order to keep her celeb perfect mum image intact.

If she'd Tweeted "have royally cocked up,have learnt that mobiles and pushchairs maybe don't mix and above all I must rem to strap in" I'd have posted Thanksand Brew and Wine.

Socknickingpixie · 10/09/2012 11:40

lots of people who have accidents involving kids will publicly attempt to justify them, its a fairly normal response to a very sensative suituation. its like the "i only turned my back for a second" thing.

for all we know shes privatly feeling horribly guilty doing the 'if only' thing just like most of us would be.

achillea · 10/09/2012 11:42

Unbelievable. And you can't possibly handle a baby properly with a skirt that short. Being a responsible parent is about foreseeing the dangers before they happen, not reacting to them after the event.

Grow up Peaches, I hope this is the mistake you learn from.

BupcakesandCunting · 10/09/2012 11:43

"Unbelievable. And you can't possibly handle a baby properly with a skirt that short. Being a responsible parent is about foreseeing the dangers before they happen, not reacting to them after the event."

Well, fuck my old boots. If only I'd read this nugget of wosdom before I gave birth.

Aboutlastnight · 10/09/2012 11:43

ooooh

She was a a short skirt now..burn the witch!

waves pitchfork

KellyElly · 10/09/2012 11:44

I was pretty shocked she was still chatting on the phone as she picked the baby up off the floor. Not good.

EverlongYouAreGoldAndOrange · 10/09/2012 11:44

I'm hollow laughing.

What the fuck has the length of her skirt got to do with anything?

I love how she dresses

LST · 10/09/2012 11:45

Phahaha! The length of her skirt really!?

Kayano · 10/09/2012 11:46

And my reply is the same

Yes you turned your back for just a second but it's still on you

Just as dd falling off bed was on me

JeremyKylesPetProject · 10/09/2012 11:47

I'm sure when she posted she was looking for a bit of sympathy and empathy. Well you know what? I'm going to bloody give it to her. She's a fellow mum and human being. Some people struggle to hold their hands up and take responsibility for the simplest of errors (usually because they don't want to lose face or have their judgement skills called out).
Those who are saying she should have had both hands on the pram. Fair enough when you have just one child. What if you have one that is toddling and also needs a hand? Since dd1 came along I can't recall being lucky enough to steer with both hands unless dh was with us.

worldcitizen · 10/09/2012 11:50

jeremy yes it's a fair question, but usually having another one toddling around does not involve a faster walk so should you trip over a pothole I doubt it would have that much of a force to trip the entire pram over, so at least I imagine, if that makes sense.

Socknickingpixie · 10/09/2012 11:51

everlong well it very much depends, do you wear short skirts????

come on love admit it you know you want to. just take responsability.Grin

please read with the jest intended.

achillea · 10/09/2012 11:53

She couldn't bend over in that skirt to pick her baby off the ground.
I have never seen a mother of a young baby wear a skirt that they can't bend down in. You dress for the occasion, no?

Or perhaps she doesn't care who looks at her arse.

SomersetONeil · 10/09/2012 11:54

It's shorts FGS, not a skirt.

Pagwatch · 10/09/2012 11:55

She should wear longer skirts. Longer skirts and bloomers and she probably never would have done the whole sex thing and none of this would have happened.

As we are now covering the banal and the trite, I have to say I love her shoes.

limitedperiodonly · 10/09/2012 11:55

She's evil. Let's burn her.

But can we take her shoes off first? I like them.

Pagwatch · 10/09/2012 11:55

There are loads of arses on here and we are mostly mothers.

Prarieflower · 10/09/2012 11:56

Jeremy as I said I had 3 under 18 months believe me I know how impossible it is to have both hands on the pram soooo I got a buggy I could steer with 1 hand that had rugged wheels, wouldn't tip at the whiff off a change in tarmac and I made sure I was giving the safe transportation of my dc as much attention as I could(ie not chatting on a mobile).

Nancy66 · 10/09/2012 11:56

They are denim cut offs. It was scorching hot in London yesterday

Aboutlastnight · 10/09/2012 11:56

you think she should dress for the occasion of her baby falling out the pram?

Confused
