WIBU - involves dog shit, a 4x4, and a disabled parking bay...

Inspired by the other thread ...

Bank holiday Monday so we go to a localish country park for a nice walk.

All fine and lovely, but upon returning to car park, there is a big dog having a big shite right on the corner of the disabled parking bay where the yellow lines are . If you were getting a wheelchair out, you would go straight through it if you didn't notice it.

Dog belongs to miserable looking snooty woman driving a mahoosive land rover thingy, who just watched the dog do its business and then called it to follow her off down path leaving shite, not a trace of shame.

I am getting increasingly sick of ignorant people and especially ignorant people in big 4x4s etc who think they can do what the hell they want.

So waited till she was out of sight, got a carrier bag and deposited the shite onto the lovely shiny bonnet for her.

Totally inspired by the cream thread ... We are making a stand!

I completely and utterly fail to see how this is anything other than epic and fucking righteous. Bravo Op.

CouthyMow · 27/08/2012 19:35

You are my hero, you and Olympicrocks.

Doilooklikeatourist · 27/08/2012 19:49

Well done OP .
I don't like dogs , I hate dog poo , and actually despise idiot dog owners that don't clean up after their rat dog

ShutTheFrontDoor · 27/08/2012 20:10

I'm disappointed you didn't smear it on the windscreen. She could have just flicked it all back on to the floor.
Try harder next time. Wink

insanityscratching · 27/08/2012 20:12

Well done curly nothing like natural justice to get your point across Grin

CaptainVonTrapp · 27/08/2012 20:34

The only people who think YABU are those that have 4x4's and feel affronted that you have linked 4x4 ownership with the depositing of dog shit in disabled parking spaces.

It was thoughtful of you to return the turd to its rightful owner (regardless of car type).

tryingtonotfeckup · 27/08/2012 20:43

Actually most 4x4 owners are splitting it, YANBU for the thoughtful returning of property, they're just a bit miffed on bringing in 4x4s. Although its good for comic effect.

Viewofthehills · 27/08/2012 21:02

Well, if you want to change behaviour then offering her a poo bag, even if you have to tap her on the shoulder to get her attention, might work better. I have done similar before. And if she said "No, I would prefer to leave my dog's disgusting turd here". I would tell her she should be ashamed of herself, because it is vile not to pick up after a dog.

But I do think making someone feel ashamed might have more effect on what they do next time, than making them angry.

No problem with you putting dog mess on her bonnet though really. As long as it's her car, no less than she deserves.

lljkk · 27/08/2012 21:08

I don't think that 4x4 drivers are necessarily selfish pigs just my neighbour who drives one, but I guess if you see an expensive car then you feel like you can rule out social deprivation as the cause for someone's actions. That leaves stupidity, ignorance & selfishness.

Someone is leaving dog muck on our lane (no pavement), and even on our verge out front, lately. There are many stretches of nettles & brambles to kick it into, but no, just leave it in the road, eh?

hiddenhome · 27/08/2012 21:31

Ha, ha, nice one OP.

However, if you really want to wreak havoc, then push the dog poo down into the air vents Wink

Trazzletoes · 28/08/2012 06:18

lljkk how is social deprivation an excuse for not picking up after your dog?! Ok dog poo bags may cost, but you can use carrier bags, which are still free! It's disgusting and there is no excuse. Plus, if you can afford to feed a dog, you can afford to pick up after it.

And what is this about kicking the poo off the path?! Just. Bend. Down. And. Pick. It. Up. Please. Then there is NO risk of people/objects getting it on themselves.

diddl · 28/08/2012 07:41

"It was thoughtful of you to return the turd to its rightful owner"

Isn´t that the dog?Wink

SoupDragon · 28/08/2012 07:57

Well, the dog arrived in the car too.

EugenesAxe · 28/08/2012 08:05

I agree with LegArmpits; YWNBU!

picnicbasketcase · 28/08/2012 08:09

YWNBU, dog owners who don't clear up after their pets shouldn't be allowed to have them. Picking up dog crap is part of owning the dog and it pisses me off that some people think they're above it. The make of car is irrelevant though, much as I hate 4x4s, you should do it regardless of the make.

turnipvontrapp · 28/08/2012 08:18

Brilliant! Grin I applaud you op, wish more people would take a stand like you then the dirty dog owners that think it's ok to leave shit everywhere may start to pick it up.

Our neighbour thinks its fine to let her dog poo all over her grass and not pick it up. Angry

We have all reported her to the environmental health after our kids have all stood in it when retrieving balls etc. Am hoping they fine her and confiscate the dog. People like her give responsible dog owners a bad name.

Tschiffely · 28/08/2012 08:18

Has there been an "aibu to be angry at whoever smear dog crap on my bonnet" thread yet? Grin

whiskyplease · 28/08/2012 08:34

In the supermarket carpark the other day the driver of BMW dropped a McDonald's bag out of his window onto the next parking space. Impervious to my basilisk stare he left to go into the supermarket.

'fraid I recovered the bag, complete with milkshake carton, and stuck it upside down under the wiper (on the driver's side) and then left. Annoying isn't it, you can never drink a thick milk shake right down to the bottom. It was spreading nicely when I left.

Keep it up you creamers and crappers! Wink

CurlyKiwiControl · 28/08/2012 08:42

Haha - join the revolution whiskey it feels good Grin

Absolutely brilliant curly Grin

lljkk · 28/08/2012 09:40

how is social deprivation an excuse for not picking up after your dog?!

I guess you could think things like

"That person wasn't socialised properly to take responsibility for themselves, it's not all their fault they don't know better"

"That person may come from a subculture that doesn't see dog mess in a public place as so horrid"

"That person has so much stress in their lives they can't manage to do this as well"

Not so much an excuse, just an explanation that makes it seem somewhat less lazy & selfish.

Paiviaso · 28/08/2012 09:40

OP you are fantastic, as are the rest of you waging this silent war against people who can't be bothered to clean up after themselves :)

SparkyTGD · 28/08/2012 10:00

OP, YANBU (said as a dog owner who picks up her dogs poo).

Apart from when its in my own garden (it will be picked up, just not immediately).

turnipvontrapp, I don't think you can complain about your neighbour having dog poo in 'her' garden, its her property Confused

tryingtonotfeckup · 28/08/2012 10:02

I'm loving all the different things that are being upended on cars whose owners don't clean up after themselves. This is a revolution, nice people of the world unite!

Adviceinscotland · 28/08/2012 10:04

Incase noone else has mentioned it....

I would have rubbed some on the underside of the door handle Wink
