People rave about it but it really is hack, unfunny, shit imo.

Apoundinatin · 27/08/2012 13:09

Oh yes. It's bloody dreadful.

KateBeckett · 27/08/2012 13:09

YANBU!

But... each to their own blah blah :)

BenedictsCumberbitch · 27/08/2012 13:09

Oh god no, I totally agree,i had the misfortune of watching some of it the other week, I didn't even crack a smile. Andi have an ace sense of humour. But then I don't get Keith Lemon either. Funny as a bucket of cold sick IMO.

WorraLiberty · 27/08/2012 13:10

I love it, I think it's hilarious.

MrMiyagi · 27/08/2012 13:10

It's appalling. There's a special part of hell reserved for those who compare it favourably with father Ted.

MoaningMingeWhingesAgain · 27/08/2012 13:10

No, I don't see what's so funny, it just strains so hard for every laugh.

Bring back repeats of Nighty Night I say Grin

Krumbum · 27/08/2012 13:11

I don't like Keith lemon either. I want someone to explain to me what is actually good about these programmes!

OP posts:
Panzee · 27/08/2012 13:11

I cannot stand it. It's terrible.

And I hate Keith Lemon too.

squoosh · 27/08/2012 13:11

It's awful. Really old fashioned shite.

I can't stand Brendan O'Carroll.

irishchic · 27/08/2012 13:11

Agreed. Utter Shite!

LineRunner · 27/08/2012 13:11

God it's awful. Just pure turdy shite. And fairly creepy in a bad way.

squoosh · 27/08/2012 13:11

Keith Lemon is inferior to knob cheese.

LST · 27/08/2012 13:12

I love it! Blush

insancerre · 27/08/2012 13:14

I love it- it makes me laugh out loud.

FrancesFarmer · 27/08/2012 13:14

It's dire but there's something about Brendan O'Carroll (Mrs Brown)'s intonation and gestures that just makes me laugh.

CommaChameleon · 27/08/2012 13:14

My friends have lent me the DVD and I've been putting off watching it, but I'm going to have to watch it before I give it back or they will be asking "what did you think of this bit...and that bit...and when they did this..."

Is it like Little Britain? Because I hated Little Britain.

threesocksmorgan · 27/08/2012 13:14

oh I love it, it is lol funny

Greige · 27/08/2012 13:15

It's crap. Not one redeeming feature. Dp thinks they should have their Irishness revoked.

glastocat · 27/08/2012 13:15

Its awful and embarrassing, I cant believe how many people like it. I also hate Keith Lemon, is he supposed to be completely creepy? And yes, anyone who compares Mrs Brown to Father Ted, well they need shooting.

Jelly15 · 27/08/2012 13:16

I love it! Down to earth, unpretentious, daft and hilarious.

OhLimpPricks · 27/08/2012 13:16

It is dreadful. A programme that relies on bad language and gratuitous smut to get laughs. I don't like the racist undertones either.

Greige · 27/08/2012 13:16

Comma, it's worse than Little Britain.

WorraLiberty · 27/08/2012 13:17

No Comma it's nothing like Little Britain

It's a hilarious (imo) sort of 'retro' show...probably the funniest part is the ad libbing and the look on the actors faces when Mrs B comes out with something that's obviously unscripted.

rainonmyparade · 27/08/2012 13:18

Not my cup of tea at all.

MrsRobertDuvallHasRosacea · 27/08/2012 13:18

It's awful.
I caught a bit of it last week, and dh and I thought it was crap.
