Debeez · 25/08/2012 18:48

I am now curious to know what's in brown sauce.

ThisIsNotHoneyDragon · 25/08/2012 19:10

I like Brown Sauce and Red sauce mixed together with my sausages. Oh yes, my friends, in the Dragon house you really can have it all!

Ismeyes · 25/08/2012 19:13

Well we have Grandad sauce (brown sauce) in our house. It is called this because I never used to buy it, then DD stayed with my parents and my Dad loves the stuff and now so does DD.

Debeez · 25/08/2012 19:15

at HoneyDragon. You live your life on the edge don't you madam! Wink

I like garlic mayo and curry sauce on my chip shop chips, with scraps on.

ThisIsNotHoneyDragon · 25/08/2012 19:31

I love garlic mayo. Dh does not love me when I have garlic mayo though. I swear he's a frickin' vampire.

Krumbum · 25/08/2012 20:19

Id say tomato sauce or brown sauce (if it weren't gross).

Is mustard then called yellow sauce??

RightFedUp · 25/08/2012 20:28

It has to be HP if it's brown sauce or Heinz if it's red but you MUST ask for them in a lovely and very loud voice.Wink

Krumbum · 25/08/2012 20:34

Mmm white sauce ay? Wink

RightFedUp · 25/08/2012 20:40

I believe that's called 'Gentleman's Relish' Krum and the less said about that the better . . .

RevDebeezWoodall · 25/08/2012 20:42

Krum Grin

Krumbum · 25/08/2012 20:43

oh I don't know what you mean, I was talking about mayonnaise rightfedup, get your mind out of the gutter!

AlexReidsLonelyBraincell · 25/08/2012 20:46

Did anybody ever have Chop sauce? It was even stronger than Daddies, I loved it and haven't seen it for a few years.

Tomato sauce or ketchup here.

TiggyD · 25/08/2012 20:47

I don't like brown sauce. I do like red sauce. I have it on my beige sticks food. I had some the other day with my pink and white meat slices, and white with a yellow circle in flat things.

NovackNGood · 25/08/2012 20:48

Gentleman's relish tastes of fish.

Krumbum · 25/08/2012 20:48

TiggyD, brilliant Grin

crackcrackcrak · 25/08/2012 20:51

Tiggyd lol!

I only occasionally allow red sauce with fried beige sticks but I prefer white egg sauce. If I ate a bright pink pig slice with flat wheat slices I might have brown sauce though.....

squoosh · 25/08/2012 20:51

Tomato sauce and Brown sauce (HP or YR)

But why oh why don't British chipshops sell proper garlic sauce?

For ages I thought Gentlemen's Relish was a euphemism rather than an actual condiment. Grin

squoosh · 25/08/2012 20:56

In Edinburgh they don't have red sauce and they don't have brown sauce, they just have sauce.

Sauce is brown sauce diluted with vinegar (I think) and it's their default sauce. It's the old Calvinist spirit, considered too ostentatious and showy to have an array of sauces.

SoleSource · 25/08/2012 20:57

Tiggy you mean a sandwich?
