She looks great for 90 but the lips are awful and people are perfectly entitled to judge what they think is a good look and what is not (I won't be copying it!). Those lips are unusually large and that's what causes comment. By doing this to herself a woman is saying that she has to look all pouty and sexy to have value and this is quite rightly attacked.
If I shoved a pair of huge balloons down my jumper and went out for a walk too right people would stare and comment - it just wouldn't look natural. Same if a guy shoved one down his trousers!
As for wearing what you like - I disagree. I sometimes see women wearing clothes that are aimed at teenagers and I don't think it works when they are self consciously trying to look younger (ditto men). They don't seem comfortable compared to women who have developed their own style and wear what they like without trying to look young.
Ernestine looks fab and I judge that going down to the gym might be quite a good idea after all
