on holiday. No internet. No mobile signal. No sky TV.

DD2 is being weird and autistic about seaweed. DD1 is being teenage angsty and stressed about exam results. DH is breathing loudly.

I am drinking quite heavily and considering starting smoking again.

Sen him to Portland bill to climb to the top of the lighthouse. He'll be breathing and sighing and panting then. Grin
I think they save it for holidays

What about Kingston Marward, small animal park and stately home

Or a walk in Puddletown forest good if you want to loose them Wink

GingerWrath · 14/08/2012 16:04

TaggieMandevilleBlack · 14/08/2012 17:01

DH has been hinting towards the tank museum for the last 16 years.

Castlepoint for mainstream shops, Pokesdown for vintage?

AlaskaNebraska · 14/08/2012 17:13

Monkey works full of deformed monkeys that will scare kids. Plus honks in hot weather.
Moors valley.

PurplePidjin · 14/08/2012 17:15

Hobbycraft

Hours of entertainment wandering round, then hours of amusing themselves in the cave caravan

frustratedpants · 14/08/2012 17:16

taggie the "playpark" at monkey world is huge! As

frustratedpants · 14/08/2012 17:17

I second Moors valley, loads to do and really good value. My kids 12 and 9 still love the play trail. Also has a go ape. Not so great in the rain though

Paulton's Park is a nice and not too big theme park

Longleat isn't a million miles away

Model village in Wimborne

Corfe is nice as is Swanage.

Old Wardour castle is great and could combine with Salisbury

VivaLeBeaver · 14/08/2012 17:35

Have you been to the Smugglers Inn at Osmington Mills? Fab pub

The swimming pool in the cliff at Dancing Ledge near Langton Matravers is lovely.

Fossil hunting at Kimmeridge?

VivaLeBeaver · 14/08/2012 17:35

And the sea life place in Weymouth is nice.

CheerMum · 14/08/2012 17:54

Taggie, I would highly recommend getting hobby stuff in, sending huffing hubby off to tank place and getting hammered in the cave while kids glue and glitter themselves!

Hope the weather is better for you tomorrow xxx

TaggieMandevilleBlack · 15/08/2012 13:02

RAIN!!!!!!!!!!!

We're about to venture into sealife. Along with every other family in weymouth.

Funnily enough, that is where we ended up today, the weather cleared just as we were leaving so we went to Weymouth for the carnival.

Freshletticialongjump · 15/08/2012 17:19
