I don't know

I know Mo Farah's wife is expecting twins but I think she's only 7 months pregnant if I remember rightly?

Hooleywhipper · 11/08/2012 22:11

I'm a little bit worried what I'll do with myself when it's all over, enjoyed every min

BlackberryIce · 11/08/2012 22:11

almostahipstar me too!

missymoss · 11/08/2012 22:12

I will cry anyway!

gets sacked from NHS for always crying on amputee & stroke ward when people progress

Must man up Grin

ViviPru · 11/08/2012 22:13

I hope it does inspire. These humble, articulate athletes are proper role models, like I just said on the Tom Daley thread, professional footballers ought to hang their heads. Whinging, over-priviledged ignoramuses-ses-s in the main.

AgentZigzag · 11/08/2012 22:13

Mo's race really got us going Grin

His face is a picture! Really endearing.

ThePlatypusAlwaysTriumphs · 11/08/2012 22:13

I was also a doubter, but I've surprised myself at how much I've enjoyed it!!

Amazingly, I'm going to miss it! Never really bothered about the Olympics before, but think Team GB have done brilliantly

worldcitizen · 11/08/2012 22:14

Loved it!!!! Awesome!!!! Don't know why, but had goosebumps and tears here and there, and I am a regular follower of Summer Olympics...so don't know why, but London and Olympics it's just wonderfulTorch.

eurochick · 11/08/2012 22:14

I was a bit of a doubter. I like sport but I doubted the cynical Brits could get behind it. But it has been great. WTF are we all going to do on Monday???

VodkaJelly · 11/08/2012 22:16

I too was moaning about the olympics being on tv too much, wasnt interested in the opening ceremony but put it on anyway..... and I was hooked. Was only on half days at work for the last 2 weeks, the plan was to clean and tidy but been getting in and putting on the olympics and the cleaning has gone out of the window.

I have been screaming along with all the events and jumping around like a lunatic. I have loved the olympics and will feel abit sad when it finished.

I too have some grit in my eye over Tom Daley getting a medal.

SoleSource · 11/08/2012 22:16

Amazing wasn't it Agent. Gold medal men.s bantem weight boxing. GB has done si well this year. Feeling very proud, makes a change.

WorraLiberty · 11/08/2012 22:17

missy as long as you don't get sacked for suggesting they enter the 200m race...that might be seen as a teensy bit over enthusiastic Grin

VodkaJelly · 11/08/2012 22:17

I also hate boxing but was cheering on all the Team GB boxers, shouting and screaming like a banshee.

Monkeybumsmum · 11/08/2012 22:18

I've loved it too [grin ] Was just saying to dh that I think I'm going to cry when it's finally finished Blush
I normally hate watching sport!

AgentZigzag · 11/08/2012 22:18

Agree about the petulant pouting footballers Vivi, it was nice to see Dave Beckham though with his lads watching the diving tonight, he gave one of them a kiss and it just looked so lovely.

ViviPru · 11/08/2012 22:20

Anyone watching the montage on BBC1? - getting quite emosh....

SuzySheepSmellsNice · 11/08/2012 22:20

I have been very cynical about the whole thing, but went through the motions of going to see the torch relay etc, buying DS a Wenlock once they had been reduced to a fiver in Tesco but tbh I have really enjoyed the whole thing, its been brilliant! My DH has even been making up limericks about the winners! Blush

Go team GB! :)

WorraLiberty · 11/08/2012 22:20

I think it's been special to me and my kids because we live just down the road from the stadium.

Every day we see the Goodyear blimp going over with the NBC news cameras and a lot of my DS1 and DS2's mates were in the ceremony.

That and seeing the torch relay just built the excitement up so much, I'm glad we're doing so well medal wise...otherwise we might have been brought down to earth with a bump!

sostressedsostressed · 11/08/2012 22:20

I have loved it so much. More so since I went to the opening ceremony and also have a ticket for closing ceremony. I have been a supporter of the games since it was announced they would be hosted in London.

BrianCoxIsUpTheDuff · 11/08/2012 22:21

ahem.

I may have started an anti-Olympic thread.

I stand by my reasoning, about splashing the cash sitting uneasily in such times of 'austerity' with me. I still can't shake that feeling in the pit of my stomach.

BUT

The athletes, were astounding. I have watched a fair bit of it and am very proud of TeamGB's achievements and sportsmanship.

So, I still didn't like the opening ceremony. The competition and the athletes, very proud and have enjoyed watching.

AgentZigzag · 11/08/2012 22:21

Even the media had trouble scraping around for a negative angle.

They gave up in the end and it's all good news about it now Grin

AgentZigzag · 11/08/2012 22:22

Can you share any of them Suzy? It's MN not NM Grin
