To moan at a man parked in parent & child bay when he was clearly childless!!

Had a lovely moan at a man parked in a parent & child bay today at a supermarket!! He told me to f**k off as he could park there as it was the first space he saw and he has a daughter at home!!!!

Carpark attendant saw the incident and told me I was out of order!!! As a result of this idiotic man parked in that space I had to struggle to get a infant carseat out of a 3door car in a normal space.

Was I unreasonable to have a go at the man??

Sorry for the long post

Klad I don't which is why I'd expect a disabled person to find the optimum space a P&C space if needs be.I'm not going to be drawn into an argument with you(you seem to want one)just because I think it's kinder for the general non disabled population to think of others and not use the P&C spaces when they don't need to.

I don't want an argument and I agree with what you say in this post. I was questioning your earlier post where it seemed you were saying that disabled people shouldn't use the spaces either. This bothered me because over the years I've had so much abuse for parking where I need to.

Nannyto2 · 11/08/2012 23:49

One last one, I saw wheels for baby seats once like a suitcase trolley. Might investigate for next dc!

minesapintofwine · 11/08/2012 23:52

sostressed but what if you had already parked and gone into the shop and then a disabled driver came along with nowhere left to park bar the other side of the carpark? They really need thir shopping (Saturday night is family film night and this is the only shop that sells that popcorn*) so they park over the other side but they struggle (limping/or in other ways) across the whole car park it just happens to be raining and they forgot their coat. During this time you come out and go straight to your car next to the door and with very wide spaces either side. I think about these things too much I have just outed myself as the odd one I am.

minesapintofwine · 11/08/2012 23:57

klad but if he had parked in a normal space how would he have gotten baby out of the car in the first place? Grin

Kladdkaka · 11/08/2012 23:59

amck5700 · 11/08/2012 23:59

if i owned a car park and decided to provide parking for a perticular group of people and the current law allowed me to do so and i had also made it clear what spaces are for whom i would expect people to respect my rules on my property,if they couldnt respect those rules i would ask them to leave and not use it.

i wouldnt give a crap about if i could fine them or not.

a p&c bay may not really be needed by p&c's they are also a advertising ploy to make you think 'ohhh how supportive of parents this supermarket is' but the sign is not a marketing ploy even if providing the bay is,its a statement as to who you would like to use the bay and as things stand at the moment a perfectly legal statement.even if you cant enforce it by a fine you can ask that a person leave your land if they feel unable to follow your rules for its use.

just the same as a sign prohibiting food/drink being eaten in your shop you may not be able to fine a person for doing it thus making it unenforceable from a money perspective but you can ask that person to either stop it or leave,as well as a sign asking people not to bring in dogs that arnt assistance dogs when displayed in a none food shop, you the landowner are making a request for your rules on your property to be respected.

if i invited a person to my home and i requested they park in one perticular area on my land, nobody would bat an eyelid even if it were just because.
it would be pretty pisspoor behaviour if you intentionally parked where i asked you not to most people would concider it impolite to do that

Socknickingpixie · 12/08/2012 00:42

stressed in a few more posts that are totally designed to wind people up making a point that you use disabled spaces are you going to disclose that you do actually have a disabled badge and you use it correctly?

if so i just beat you to it by saying

I USE DISABLED SPACES,I DO I DO I DO OHHHH HOW NAUGHTY I AM. OPPS ITS NOT NAUGHTY AS I DO HAVE A DISABLED BADGE

AngryBeaver · 12/08/2012 00:49

Wow, a lot of people on this thread have deep seated resentment. And a huge sense of entitlement.
I can't imagine deliberately using something that wasn't intended for me to use,in the hope of pissing someone off.
P& C spaces are self explanatory. As are disabled spaces.
If you've got a big car for your big arse you should park at the back where there's always loads of space and walk you lazy twunt

AngryBeaver · 12/08/2012 00:51

OH, and I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned as I haven't read the whole irritatting thread, but sostressed has started a few shit stirring threads over the past few days. Don't rise to the bait,as my Mother would say!

ShellyBoobs · 12/08/2012 00:53

I can't imagine deliberately using something that wasn't intended for me to use...

Apartheid relied entirely upon people being subservient, like you.

tigerdriverII · 12/08/2012 01:05

For goodness sakes! Wtaf is this thread about?

Halfcups · 12/08/2012 01:07

Toddler/baby spaces help to keep little children safe and parents less stressed. I can t understand why that s a problem to some....?

wankpants · 12/08/2012 01:11

This will get deleted but sostressed is a mahoosive troll. Don't be paying any attention to it.

Socknickingpixie · 12/08/2012 01:12

shellyboobs if i came to your house and you asked me not to use something or not to enter a perticular room would it be compleatly ok for me to ignore your request?

AngryBeaver · 12/08/2012 02:11

shellyboobs overreact much?!! comparing p&c space to apartheid, arf.
oh,and my dh only wishes I was subservient!

hopkinette · 12/08/2012 02:17

fucking shit trolling mate

Tangointhenight · 12/08/2012 07:44

shelly are you actually comparing people who follow the rules of the carpark to those who followed the apartheid???

And do parking in them is your two fingers to the man??

FFS there are some really bitter, twisted people out there, I'm sure you're actually nice in RL but I'm probably wrong

nittyclitty · 12/08/2012 08:01

All those saying we didn't have them in my day etc etc., well I used to say that too but I failed to understand that the spaces are most definitely smaller nowadays and booster seats and seat belts are now obligatory.
When I was a kid we used to squeeze 5/6 kids in the back of a car no belts or boosters. Easy to get out.
