Yep all of these Grin

Chris Hoy's and the American gymnast's parents are hilarious Grin

There have been loads of 'lump in throat' moments but, for me, I admit to sobbing my eyes out when Andy Murray won on Sunday Blush As a huge tennis fan, this really touched me and I cried even more when he reached Judy and gave her a hug!

Loved Burt Le Clos aswell...oh so many great moments in such a short space of time Smile

Oh goodness, you've all got me crying with these videos - love the Sarah Attar one (so touching) and Chris Hoy's mum. Wow, you could really feel what she was going through.

My favourite moment that I've seen live was Chad le Clos's win. When he stood there on the podium, his little lip wobbling and him trying to control it only for it to start trembling again, and his Dad going nuts in the crowd. It was amazing. Lovely to see how much it meant to them both.

A mention to David Rudisha from Kenya breaking the 800m world record ... best national anthem too.

The Irish crowds watching Katie Taylor fight were pretty amazing.

I don't understand Sarah Attar, she could run under American flag instead & would get proper training & support (& get to wear sensible kit to boot). Was she trying to make a political statement?

Oh, Chris Hoy's mum! What a darling.

I thought the German discus thrower was brilliant. It's something of a trademark of his to act a little crazy Grin Nothing wrong with being bloody happy and excited after winning the biggest prize your career has to offer! And sorry, but why on earth should he not go out and have a few beers? He's a grown man, not a 15 year old! Odd attitude to alcohol in the UK at times. If he had kept calm and acted with decorum he'd have been called a typical cold, humourless and unemotional German.

Sarah Attar wanted to show Saudi women that they could be involved in sports.

Besides that, fantastic as she was, I doubt she was good enough to be picked for the American team.

Did anyone see the mascot running up to Bolt after the 100m? I was howling, whoever was in there was having a blast.

There are a few people saying that he didn't jump the hurdles properly. I think they are thinking of another field eventer (hammer?) That did similar with the steeplechase hurdles earlier in the week.

Is it really right to be celebrating this celebration tho? It is a bit destructive. Ripping his shirt off (didn't a footballer get reprimanded for taking one off a few years ago...non Olympics I know but still....).

Then he starts hurdling. I don't have a huge issue with this but he could have been deemed as interferring with another event.

Then he tries to tamper.with the Olympic flame.

Drinking...well who wouldn't, traditional method of celebrating :o, but surely there were potential security implications with losing his pass?.

All in all, I don't think each little thing was a big deal...but add them all up...

When Mo Farah won the 10,000m he collasped on the track, the American spat in the next lane. How many of us were shouting 'Noooo!' at the screen just as Mo was about to roll into the spit!!!

Thanks for posting the Sarah Attar link, I'd not seen it. Wonderful response from the crowd. Hope she, and her judoka teammate have indeed made some difference.

breward - I noticed that too, I was hoping the American would have said something to him rather than just let him roll into it

That was GROSS. Mo missed it by a fraction of a millimetre.

Loved Chad le Clos' dad.

Also when Jess Ennis made that final kick. Unnecessary but she found it for the crowd and you could see it was taking her well out of her comfort zone - but actually winning the race helped make the magic that was that night in the stadium.

To be honest I'm absolutely loving the divers diving so far.

Hoping for more sports on tv in the future featuring fit young men and have been surprised by how much I've loved all of the Olympics. Tough to pick any 1 moment.

Did enjoy Ben Ainslie getting his own back on his rivals in the sailing, plus what he said to Gary Lineker who will be presenting MotD in 4 years Gary Grin

The synchronised swimming free routines- the world cannot get nearer to mermaids. Loved that 4 continents were there. Loved the Egyptian women breaking the mould. Thought all the teams were a-mazing. Loved the crowds cheering for everyone.

Agree re the Jess Ennis win in the last race - so much more inspiring than the amaerican just trotting to the end to win the decathlon yesterday - in 5th or 6th in the race and he was only 1 second out from getting over 9000 points and beating the olympic record. Just wish he could have put on a turn of speed and at least broken the record if not won the race.

Best (live) moment for me was when I was at the Women's Football Final at Wembley last night. As Sepp Blatter (notorious for his comments about women playing football) was introduced at the beginning of the medal ceremony the crowd of over 80,000 was unanimous in giving him a well deserved booing.
