Bolt Jogging in 200m semi. Whilst everyone else tried desparately to keep up was pretty funny.

As was Hoy's mum.

The young woman rower, winning gold with her partner in her first ever senior competition, sitting open-mouthed and then saying 'We've won the Olympics!... We're going to be on a stamp!'

In her interview, and even on the podium getting her medal, she still didn't seem quite to believe it.

yummymummytobe please. These are humans we are dealing with. Not robots. And it is the human reactions which has captivated me as much as the sport. If I won an olympic gold I would run round like a loon and get pissed. Shoot me Hmm

Victoria Pendleton jumping to the front in the Keirin, just amazing. Absolutely beautiful and how she keeps that pace I have no idea.

Pendoooo

When they were getting their medals, the woman from Hong Kong, who was over-joyed and in a lovely silver suit, couldn't figure out where to stand, and then faced the wrong way, and her and VP had a little giggle about it. I thought it was nice.

yummymummy The German guy said he wasn't pissed, his accreditation was nicked from the party he was at and he couldn't get back in. Nothing to do with being pissed. And even if he had been, so what? People are allowed to drink, you know.

RuleBritannia I was at the stadium on tuesday and sitting alongside the hurdles - the German did jump them I can confirm (thought it was at the edge and in fact he was quite careful).

The same evening it was lovely to see the Grenada guy winning his gold. He got an amazing reception.

GetOrf thanks for all those great links. I love Chris Hoy's mum. There was another clip of some parents I saw this morning but can't remember who it was - I'll see if I can find it. Might have been Canadians though.

As the mother of a very young Muslim girl who will be facing all kinds of challenges as she grows up, I wept openly as Sara Attar ran. The crowd were amazing and so supportive. An inspirational moment.

But Chris Hoy's mum was the best bit for me so far. My mum would be exactly like that although she would have probably picked up her handbag and walked towards the exit whilst peeking over her shoulder all the way.

The Raisman parents are brilliant! I also found Mrs Hoy very funny - and I would be exactly the same!
I also like seeing the Princess Royal and Judy Murray. Both have their 'game faces' but they know exactly what it means to their kids and to see them there at such a great moment is just lovely.

I'm by no means a fan of the Royals but I blubbed when Princess Anne put the medal round Zara's neck. I also loved it when Jessica Ennis won her gold and all the heptathlon women did a lap of honour with her. It made me very proud to be a woman!

There have been too many moments when I've been blubbing this Olympics, but probably when OUR Nicola Adams won the first ever Olympics women's boxing....

Ross Murray admitting he'd spent two years on the lash in preparation for the Olympics :o

On a serious note though, you could not beat the look of pure delight on the faces of the women's lightweight double (Kat Copeland in particular)!
