I really want some skullcandys, I do alot of walking listening to music with none of the dcs. But i prefer the over the ear types. Im worried that im going to look like a tool wearing them out and about :)

They remind me of daft teens who only use them as a fashion statement. Sorry :)

FartyMcTarty · 05/08/2012 21:49

I would if you are over 19 Grin

pinkstinks · 05/08/2012 21:51

hey, im twenty three and rock mine :] but if i wear them with my glasses i get a headache. They are a bit of a statement though, but who cares what other people think.

LilyCocoplatt · 05/08/2012 21:53

I'd like some of those as I hate those stupid fucking earbuds that fall out all the time but over ear ones make my glasses legs dig into my ears, otherwise I would get some so go for it if you want them, they are meant to be better for your hearing if you keep the volume reasonably low.

MammaTJisanOlympicSumoWrestler · 05/08/2012 21:54

My ears are to little to take the put in types. Seriously considering this for that reason.

Mrsjay · 05/08/2012 21:55

where I live a lot of over 18s wear them now but maybe mid 20s are you mid 20s cos i think you would get away with them ,

smoggii · 05/08/2012 22:02

You will look like a twazzock bt it will be worth it because the sound is much better.

MonsPubis · 05/08/2012 22:03

they look like complete numptys

yousavedmybacon · 05/08/2012 22:04

Im 22, if this helps. but im tinnnnnny and probably will look like a teenage thinking their the bees knees until my Sd or ds tell them im infact not cool at all and make my own soup... x

TrollofTrollHall · 05/08/2012 22:06

had no idea this was problem! the in ear ones really bug me, i hate them.

thenightsky · 05/08/2012 22:06

Nice thread OP. I cannot wear in-ear types as my ear-holes are so tiny they hurt.

Seems I'm gonna look like a twat.

ScarletLadyOfTheNight01 · 05/08/2012 22:08

I like them. Research some more though, because whilst SkullCandys look cool as hell, I know so many people who've had pairs just fall apart after a few weeks.

MammaTJisanOlympicSumoWrestler · 05/08/2012 22:09

I am 44 so maybe too old to give a flying fuck care!! I shall be ok with my gurt big headphones!!

Emandlu · 05/08/2012 22:10

What does it matter what anyone thinks? If you like them then get them.

yousavedmybacon · 05/08/2012 22:11

ah i dont want them to fall apart, and twazzock is the best word thanks for that one! I am a very nervous person always feel like people are watching me from their cars/houses ect. But i really do want them, an i listen to music everywhere i go. Ive got gummy by JVC at the minute but they dont half hurt after a while

I have round the back of the neck ones which I hide under my hair.

I am way past 18!

ScarletLadyOfTheNight01 · 05/08/2012 22:14

Some people I know have got on fine with them, but I've heard a few horror stories...especially the Hesh style ones which are the ones people tend to go for. Sennheiser do great headphones.

thenightsky · 05/08/2012 22:14

MammaTJisanOlympicSumoWrestler I'm even older than you. Do you think it's possible to become so old you look cool? Grin

janey68 · 05/08/2012 22:18

Yes and yes, in answer to the op

But if you can't wear in-ear ones and don't mind looking a twazzock (new fave word) then why not

yousavedmybacon · 05/08/2012 22:20

I shall continue doing some research on different types but have hinted for my birthday so may end up looking like a twazzock. but ill be doing it with good music on. What i find funny is that ill look like im trying to be uber cool then michael buble or hayley westenra will come blaring out my uber cool ears.

OP posts:
ScarletLadyOfTheNight01 · 05/08/2012 22:22

Nooooooooo not The Buble!!

yousavedmybacon · 05/08/2012 22:24

i got bullied at school for liking michael buble when he first appeared on the music scene, lo and behold 3 years later everyone loved him and i felt slightly put out! went off him a bit after that. Im currently trying to make a playlist for birthday party of 4-7 year olds of stuff with no language/sexual reference in. Needless to say its not going well!

Alliwantisaroomsomewhere · 05/08/2012 22:25

Why does anyone need to walk around with music in their ears all the time??

I worry that pedestrians, runners and cyclists cannot hear cars and so on.

[old git emoticon]

ScarletLadyOfTheNight01 · 05/08/2012 22:25

Ah, that sucks. Sorry I just can't bring myself to like him.

singsingdeathhouse · 05/08/2012 22:28

i wear skullcandys and im pretty sure i dont look like a twazzock!!!

depends on your style generally i think. if you are dressed in old lady clothed you may look odd with a paid of skullcandys, but if you are a jeans/converse/anything other than old lady dresser you should be able to pull it off.
