To ask if you notice people with over the ear headphones,and if you laugh

I really want some skullcandys, I do alot of walking listening to music with none of the dcs. But i prefer the over the ear types. Im worried that im going to look like a tool wearing them out and about :)

I think over the ear headphones is by far the best way to listen to music when out and about and I think they will look cool whatever your age (I am 43).

Skull candy is all style over substance though and you should get yourself something that is more about the sound. Beat by Dr Dre are also shit.

My 'ear-bud' ones are driving me up the wall at the gym. Was thinking of getting some over the ear ones.

I cant help it force of habit, but i do take them off at every road ect! im good like that. I desperatly need some new music but ive got so much old stuff and know hardly any of the chart stuff...

The Bose ones are amazing.

I have stipid sized lug holes which mean most in ear ones fall out all tge time.

I have some sony mdr's which are a joy to wear. Not too pretty but good sound given they are quite cheap

Better for your hearing too - keeps out outside noise, so you don't need the volume turned up so high.

actually I can't wear the in ear ones as i only have one ear - if anyone thinks they look funny they can fuck off

My teens bought the over the ear ones as they both hated the ear buds and over the ear are so comfy. I have huge ones, I look like I'm on air on the radio but not in public. Ds 2 wanted Dr Dre or something like that, then I saw the price and laughed. He has skull candy.

these have twazzock written all over them. Sorry OP but they all look like they're designed for the teenage boy Market :(

Wow those are hilarious! I think even the coolest teenage boy would look a twazzock with them on. Mine shall be pink :)

Grasp are the best over the ears out there, and less than a hundred pounds..

I am 41 and I wear them and couldn't care less how silly I look...I cant bear the ones you have to tuck in your ears and they just fall out all the time and the over the ear ones are so comfy.....I dont have really expensive ones but they do the job!

Over the head ear phones are brilliant, comfier than in ear ones. But avoid skull candys, they are shit. I've had two pairs and both have died, they arent worth the money

i wear Koss Portapros, the sound is amazing and they're semi-open which means you can still hear traffic. Also soooo comfy, especially if you wear specs or sunglasses.

skullcandy are definitely style over substance but if you like them, get some! the only people who point and laugh at people in the street are dicks - just give 'em the finger and carry on.

I notice them and think it's a good idea because the sound quality will be better :)

I have an inward chuckle at the skullcandy type, but not anyone who has a good pair of black over the ear headphones. Probably best to avoid overpriced ones with "trendy" logos and get yourself to a decent hifi shop.

Afraid I can't recommend mine: they're 10 years old and I got them in a end of season sale...

Both my DCs had skull candy over ear headphones.

They fell apart after a month.

Definitley do a bit of research into good quality brands.

Who cares what anyone else thinks! I see loads of people with them on the tube every day and think nothing of it. Except possibly those coloured ones with the B on them, then I think they're a bit fashion victim :o
