To think Mo Farahs wife might not be best pleased...

... When she watches the footage back and hears the commentators say "and there's Tania his wife, wow must be twins at that size".

Or words to that affect. Does he not know he just broke a cardinal rule of what not to say about a pg woman. And this on the most momentous day of DHs life.

That's because it IS twins.
Twin daughters, due next month.
So no, I don't think the commentator was BU, he was stating a FACT!

workshy · 04/08/2012 23:01

but she is having twins Grin

olympicbelle · 04/08/2012 23:01

She is having twins though, according to wikipedia, they're having twin girls.

mashpot · 04/08/2012 23:01

It is twins isn't it?

Northernlurker · 04/08/2012 23:01

It IS twins apparently and I would think that a) she knows how big she is and b) seeing as her husband has just done her and his nation proud she 's probably not too fussed about the commentators.

Nancy66 · 04/08/2012 23:01

i think you misheard - she IS pregnant with twins.

WorraLiberty · 04/08/2012 23:02

She is 7 months pregnant with twins though.

Some people really really don't get offended at things like this....I know I certainly didn't.

Actually it used to make me smile.

mashpot · 04/08/2012 23:02

Whoop x- post!

Nancy66 · 04/08/2012 23:02

Softlysoftly · 04/08/2012 23:02

YABU.

Why is it a cardinal rule not to comment on the size of a bump? I honestly couldn't have cared less, and I'm sure I'm not the only woman on Earth.

In fact, I was secretly quite proud of being massive. Pregnancy brings out my inner Goddess.

storminabuttercup · 04/08/2012 23:04

Why did he take her shoes off? Confused

scaevola · 04/08/2012 23:04

Not only is it twins, she mentioned it in the interview she gave to the BBC, broadcast earlier today.

Grumpla · 04/08/2012 23:06

I was a bit Envy at how good she looked actually. As at 7months with ONE baby I was a spotty, puking, hobbling wretch.

What a sweet family, I loved how excited his wee daughter was running onto the track to give her daddy a cuddle.

I thought she looked bloody fab, i was a fecking mess at 7 months with one!

TheDoctrineOfEnnis · 04/08/2012 23:07

I assume you can only go on the track in special athletes shoes?

WorraLiberty · 04/08/2012 23:09

I found a stray hair on my chin today and DH saw me pluck it out

He and our 3 DS's have now named me Mo Farah! Angry

Softlysoftly · 04/08/2012 23:10

Grumpia sadly I look worse than that now and that's 10 weeks post birth, mines not twins it's revels

princess 'twas lighthearted and totally factually wrong but some people do get huffy at bump comments Smile

His father daughter moment was so sweet!

Great news. Fab race wow!

HipHopSkipJumpomous · 04/08/2012 23:25

She was wearing ballet style shoes and they were flapping when she was running and then one came off. He was a lovely dad and took them off her. She was better off in bare feet.

HipHopSkipJumpomous · 04/08/2012 23:27

It was a fantastic race! Such an amazing night. Imagine being there Grin

BackforGood · 04/08/2012 23:35

She was wearing inappropriate shoes to be running in - she'd already lost one on the steps on the way down to the track, then one came off on the track again, so he figured she'd be better without any shoes.

Well done Mo though! Fantastic evening all round Smile

BoneyBackJefferson · 04/08/2012 23:51

Mo Farah

On one hand brilliant for winning the 10,000 mtrs

on the other a bad dad for removing a pair of shoes that had already fallen off.

Only on MN :)

DilysPrice · 05/08/2012 00:28

I loved his daughter's face when mum and dad were doing the soppy kissing. "Muuuum, Daaaad, you're embarrassing me. On the telly!"
