To want to throw my mobile to the floor and smash it to a million tiny pieces....

Okay, I know I am a middle aged mother whose brain probably has shrunk somewhat but I am not a complete idiot. Yet no matter how many people say 'just do this' or 'just do that' I cannot seem to get a music app that will download free music to my phone simply.
Sorry if that was an anticlimax but it is driving me insane.
Can anybody help? I need talking through this seemingly brainless task.
Okay so I probably am being thick....ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Ds has a phone that you are meant to be able to download music on to - except you can't and according to a million forums I have googled others have the same problem!

PomBearWithAnOFRS · 02/08/2012 14:46

With my old phone, we had the music on the pc and just dragged the files across to the phone (with the phone connected to the pc obviously) - might that work? None of it was iAnything - they were just mp3 files and it wasn't a smart phone or anything like that.
I hate my new phone, I cried when the old one wore out :( I keep the new one so that one day when I need a truly spectacular tantrum I can fling it on the floor and stamp on it Grin

Thanks Pom. Will give it a try.

Do you mean you want to transfer music you already own?

happyclapper · 02/08/2012 15:07

No, download music from the internet.

Erm, that's illegal? Am I missing something?

Conflugenglugen · 02/08/2012 16:05

yes, illegal. why would you do that?

MotionOfTheOcean · 02/08/2012 16:09

What sort of phone do you have? There are apps in the android market thar let you download music for free and as they have been there for over 12 months I presume they are legit.https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.musical.work this is the one I use.

MotionOfTheOcean · 02/08/2012 16:09

sorry this one

happyclapper · 02/08/2012 18:03

Sorry I really don't know whAT I'm talking about mayaswell. Just mean an app that gives you free downloads.
I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia MOTO.

Oh I was hoping you were going to say you had a Motorola Defy, as that's reason enough to want to smash it to bits. That's how I feel about mine, you see. What a crock of shit.

MotionOfTheOcean · 02/08/2012 21:14

If you have updated the Android system then that app I linked to should work.

happyclapper · 02/08/2012 23:26

Thanks MOTO. I have been using this app but half the time it says it is downloading a song and then nothing happens. What that all about?
