To want to go to the supermarket without being hassled over parking?

My dd is disabled and has a blue badge. I also have a toddler. I do generally try to park in p&c spaces but if none are free/convenient I will park in a disabled space.

I am sick to the back fucking teeth of busybodies harassing me on the assumption that I'm just a um of two who is abusing the space. I've just had some mardy troutfaced bitch stride over and inform me that people like me are disgusting. she didn't even fucking apologise when I pointed out that I was displaying a blue badge and disabled class road tax disc, she just sniffed and walked off.

What business is it of other peoples? Seriously. Fuck the fuck off then fuck off some more!

Breathes.

i get crap like this all the time despite having 5 blue badge holders in my household and never missusing the badge.

one of my cars is a two seater sports car soft top (cant say what as it prob would out me) ive been to the supermarket with a dc so that makes two badge holders in the car only to be screamed at in a obvious attempt to shame me then had other people jump on the band wagon , i politly ignored and as we were walking away very politly said "if any one of you would care to glance inside the car you will clearly see two blue badges displayed (on the floor extreamly visable to any person stood in the same possition as a traffic warden would be but not stealable as they would be on the dash) you will also see from the tax disk that this car is exempt due to the disability taxation class" some dick even felt the need to add well you dont look disabled neither does the kid (yep the kid)

apparently disabled people are not able to have fun cars.

a few months ago in a people carrier transporting all 5 blue badge holders(and clearly displaying them) i got grief at allmost every place i parked throughout the day im ashamed to say that at my last stop after a very very angrey woman had decided to educate me using lots of f words and other such choice phrases regarding the use of a disabled bay i lost it,and said "fuck off you stupid fucking cunt can you not see the 5 fucking blue badges would you like me to shove them up your fucking arse so you can check them all"
under normal circumstances i would never dream of talking to anybody like that but i just lost it.she didnt even have the good grace to say sorry or even just walk away she stood there muttering about the badges being given out willy nilly.

out of intrest did you know that if you pull up into a loading bay and unload a wheelchair at approx the same time as a person and a traffic warden sees they will give you a ticket as blue badge or not you are not able to unload people in a loading bay and apparently a wheelchair does not count as loading or unloading

Doesn't really happen to me as A) Can't drive and B) not visibly disabled, but I have been challenged on my bus pass before. My advice is make the challengers feel really, really uncomfortable by either producing medical documents, medical supplies or rattling off all the ways your disease could kill you. Then you just stand back and say 'your move, mothaf*a!' Moonwalking away is optional.

Mildred thanks but I can't really take credit as it's not a conscious choice. I'm autistic so the shutters come down between me and them and they cease to exist (although the words/actions still hurt). I couldn't respond even if I wanted to.

Actually, I think the fact that I don't even acknowledge their existence makes them worse :(

PrincessTeacake · 02/08/2012 00:02

Actually, wouldn't it be great if we could hire Terry Tate to patrol supermarket parking areas?

I just park, shop and leave.

Wish I could.

When my Gran was alive, she had a blue badge which she used on my Dad's car (she didn't drive). He owns a Ferrari (not his everyday car!) which my 92 year old Gran loved going for a spin in.

They pulled up in the disabled section of somewhere and a couple of disbelieving onlookers came straight away with cats bum mouths and complained at him over this. He opened the passenger door and said "I might leave my mother to answer your concerns" as she smiled sweetly up at them and they mumbled their apologies and left.....
