Or, AIBU to have accidently washed the car tax paperwork (tax due today)?

Just to make me feel better obviously :) he's cross.

Whoever is loading the washing machine does the final check.
I don't get this 'He's an adult' bullshit. We can all make mistakes and think we have done something.
There's no harm in double checking.

A few weeks ago DH shouted up to me 'do you want your ipod going through on a quick or full wash?' I forgot it was in the pocket of a shirt when I dumped all my clothes in the basket.

I don't even check my own pockets! Unfortunately this results in about a 50% tissue disaster hit rate on winter washes...

GimmieChocolate · 31/07/2012 22:59

Tissues. Every single bloody time!!!! You would think he would of learnt by now!

WorraLiberty · 31/07/2012 23:03

Exactly iknowwho, from some of the responses on these sort of threads, you'd think some people were 'living with the enemy'.

oreocrumbs · 31/07/2012 23:10

Sometimes I do, then I forget and have a tissue wash Hmm.

Did get rather a surprise the other day when I found a photo in his works trousers. No need to worry of course. Not another woman. A photo of a shed.

Mystery was solved a few days later when I was at work and one of the customers came up to check that DP had shown me the photo of their new shed.

DP has zero intrest in sheds. Or gardens. Or anything remotely related to the house and home, storage or well anything at all, so I would love to know how the conversation had enough enthusiasm to get some one to go and take a picture and get it printed!

I do, but only to avoid de-tissuing a whole load of washing. I don't neceasseraly give him what I've found. It goes in a "found this in the wash" corner.

My car key got washed once, it was in DD's pocket Confused and not washed by me. Was one of those fancy ones with control for the central locking. Still worked afterwards, somehow.

Getting back to your issue, OP, if I had something important in my pocket and said pocket was going in the wash I would remove the important article and put it somewhere safe. I wouldn't expect to rely on my OH to do it for meWink.

I have learnt lots from this thread... particularly the money making potential of pocket clearing.

But mostly I have learnt that quoteunquote is my new hero

Oh, I also learnt that my Asperger's extends to a loathing of things in my pockets. I never made that connection until reading this thread, and tales of stuff in one's own pockets made me shudder a bit.

God I love MN. So enlightening.
