Purple - I'm sure he's lovely and you love him but I have a mental block about men and long hair, even the cool rock star hair.

DrCoconut - it depends what field he's working in but I would guess that long hair is not helping. Not necessarily because people make assumptions about his personality, just because it's less socially acceptable (except on this thread) and recruiters will make "safe" choices.

YABU! It depends entirely on the man in question, and his hair. A friend of mine has glorious long blond ringlets and it suits him - he just looks wrong with short hair (hasn't cut it short in years). His wife likes it that way too!

Another friend, however, really shouldn't allow his hair to be as long as he does - it's the receding hairline that really makes it a bit painful...

Thankfully DH keeps his hair relatively short, he has terrible hair once it gets past a couple of inches long.

you can't beat metal, the scene. miss going head banging down the astoria on a friday night, good for the soul. dh has lately had people yelling out to him (younger types) 'Jesus' as he has a large beard too, he does have the look as per the way he is often depicted. always loved men with long hair, always will :)
he also gets calls of 'tree man' ... Confused

catin - my nephew (i feel so bloody old) is a singer in a punk band but also works in a guitar shop in denmark street (he has short hair though...)

YANBU it's one of those things for me that really turns me off I find it revolting, especially when they have sideburns and eugh add a beard in and I have to look away.

The only guy I've ever fancied with long hair was a Bob Marley lookalike so I can't be held responsible for that he was gorgeous.

I don't mind when dh manages to grow an inch of Afro but otherwise no.

ms - i miss metal gigs. i used to work in music for 20 years and spent most of my evening time gigging. even a local metal pub in eastham (east london) has been shut down, fantastic place to let you hair down and air guitar with the best of em' :-D

Hrm, my uni bfs and exP were all tall and slim with long hair.

DP at 6' is the shortest and started balding in his teens so has a no. 2. This is not the Lestat-esque chappy my 15yr old self was looking for Grin

I like long hair as long as not balding. DP though looks yummy with v. short hair, which is a look I don't like on many men.

My DP has also had "Jesus!" bellowed at him by the local rapscallions. I love his long hair though.

He says he's cutting it off soon as he's starting to recede Sad.
