A real heavy AIBU to deal with in the heat here but DP and the DC think IABU and insist that burgers can only be served in soft baps.

So. AIBU here?

Sorry but I agree with your DP and DC, can only be soft baps for burgers. Although you're right about the ketchup. So YABU and YABNU in one post.

JeezyPeeps · 24/07/2012 13:31

YABU. Soft baps all the way!

CogitoErgoSometimes · 24/07/2012 13:32

Tell them crusts give you curly hair, whereas soft baps are really for people with false teeth.

squeakytoy · 24/07/2012 13:36

soft baps are definately better than hard ones... Grin

trikken · 24/07/2012 13:42

I'm with you OP! Much nicer that way! Best if the crusty rolls are home made but I can't often be arsed to do that....

PomBearWithAnOFRS · 24/07/2012 14:06

Burgers are only nice when they are big thick juicy ones, they've been cooked outside, and are in a nice soft bun Grin

GwendolineMaryLacey · 24/07/2012 14:08

Soft baps. Great big thick juicy burgers, cheese, fried onion and lashings of bbq sauce. With a nice cool green salad. Lovely.

Latara · 24/07/2012 14:09

with lots of Fried onions & a pint glass of full sugar cola with ice & lemon; cheers :)

OutragedAtThePriceOfFreddos · 24/07/2012 14:10

Soft baps are better, but crusty ones are acceptable. And there has to be cheese. And tomatoes. And mayonnaise. And proper ketchup, not the reduced sugar stuff I seem to keep buying.

squeakytoy · 24/07/2012 14:12

I am the wierd person who doesnt eat the bun at all anyway... Grin

ElephantsCanRemember · 24/07/2012 14:16

Soft baps with mayonnaise, lettuce and tomatoes. Delicious.

Sirzy · 24/07/2012 14:17

TigerFeet · 24/07/2012 14:18

soft baps with tomato ketchup, fried onions and square plastic cheese

EnglishGirlApproximately · 24/07/2012 14:19

YABU - and you definately need a cheap, nasty cheese slice!

Mrsjay · 24/07/2012 14:19

Oh yes Plastic cheese is a must

Petsinmypudenda · 24/07/2012 14:20

Soft bap with plastic cheese, onions and mustard and mayo

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 24/07/2012 14:21

YABU, sorry, soft baps it is. They sort of squidge into the burger.

Although I don't mind slightly chewy-topped burger buns, IYSWIM. Like in those 'gourmet' burger places where they have slightly fancy, sometimes sourdough, ones.

They must come with fries though (fries, not fat chips). And have a pickle with them. And a chocolate malt.

McKayz · 24/07/2012 14:22

Soft buns, plastic cheese, lots of onions and ketchup!! Yummy!!

topbannana · 24/07/2012 14:38

YANBU OP, crusty roll, onions, grated (not plastic) cheese and proper Heinz ketchup. And of course a decent burger :)
Come to think of it that's probably why we don't go to many BBQ's out :o

SillyBeardyDaddyman · 24/07/2012 14:46

I love baps Grin

Whenthetoadcamehome · 24/07/2012 14:50

Soft Baps are like a big mouthful of dry straw! Crusty brown rolls here, and with loads of Ketchup, but not that Heinz rubbish, you need Tiptree Ketchup, nectar from the gods I tell thee!
