Are you saying that a mixed-race child can't have pale skin? Cause my friend whose mother is white and father is West Indian; she looks white and her sisters (both same parents) are very dark-skinned.

My great grandfather was Jamaican. He married a white American woman, and their children all married white people. My parents and I are blonde haired and blue eyed. My DD1, however, looks mixed race! She has beautiful dark skin, a giant afro and blue eyes! Genes get all mixed up along the way and produce all sorts of combinations, so I don't think you should judge whether or not they are his biological children just by appearances.

Jesus Christ! This really gets my goat. Firstly, I'm the mother of two mixed race boys (the second of whom has very similar colouring to Blanket, but has an afro) and they 'come' in all sorts of shades, often within the same family - my two are much much paler than their cousins. Secondly, who the fuck cares if they are biologically his or not??? It doesn't make them any less his children.

I was v impressed with an interview I saw with the elder girl. Thought she had clearly had a very, very good lot of parenting from whoever she had grown up with (sorry I don't know the details of their lives).

The OP is not being ignorant she is making a scientific assumption. The genes for black skin, dark eyes, dark hair etc are dominant so far more likely to be passed on. It isnt ignorant or horrible to say they arent black enough to be his children, its an observation. Of course mixed race people can be all kinds of colouring and sometimes siblings are completely different. But it isnt so wrong to make a judgement based on what you see.

The Jackson children dont appear to have any of his features - it isnt just about their skin colour. They dont have the afro-caribean facial features, afro-craibbean hair etc Rather conviniently they look like he did when he died - white with dark hair.
This doesnt make them any less his children, they clearly love him. Just an observation.

I think they seem, well the eldest girl anyway, appear very well grounded balanced children and it is clear they loved him very much surely that makes him their dad whatever the colour of their skin. Don't be so needlessly rude.
