DS had an interview there this week for a job.

They had 20 jobs and 600 and something applications.

The fucking bastards didn't give him a job.

Therefore, I am organising a boycott and you all must support me, OK?

I boycott because they have no carpark and I don't do walking.

Groovee · 04/07/2012 19:45

AT least he got to the interview stage! More than I've got with jobs lately

BorisJohnsonsHair · 04/07/2012 19:46

I boycott them anyway because they destroy communities all over the country.

cocolepew · 04/07/2012 19:46

Ummm I don't usually go there but I got vouchers today.

But I'm with you in spirit.

Dprince · 04/07/2012 19:46

Well I'll join however I never shop there so I don't think it will help much, but if I am ever asked why I don't I shall give this boycott as a reason. :)

LeoTheLateBloomer · 04/07/2012 19:47

I already boycott because the main ingredient in their duck pate is chicken Hmm

I will boycott 6 days a week if you like.

PorkyandBess · 04/07/2012 19:50

I would, but I like the club card situation too much.

RackandRuin · 04/07/2012 19:50

I would, but sainsburys is doing my head in at the minute and I can't do all my shopping at the co-op. there's only so many out of date fray bentos (sp?) pies my family will eat.

thisisyesterday · 04/07/2012 19:51

i already boycott them for various reasons so yeh, i'll join you!

catgirl1976 · 04/07/2012 19:52

I never shop there. I will continue to never shop there and we can say it is in support of your DH if it helps :)

Hope he gets a job soon

ravenAK · 04/07/2012 19:54

No problem, I'll add that to Workfare & what they're doing to Sheringham & continue with my boycott...Grin

Petsinmypudenda · 04/07/2012 19:54

I will boycott them forever except on cream cake Friday.

thisthreadwilloutme · 04/07/2012 19:56

I'll join you! after I've gone and stocked up on Za'tar tomorrow

'fraid I can't possible include the little express up the road. It is too handy and often has 3 mini pots of hummus reduced to 20p

JollyGoodFun · 04/07/2012 19:58

I'm boycotting them too because my shopping there cost over £100 today. Dh asked how much shopping was and I refused to tell him. They also sent me a voucher for double clubcard points that I didn't receive until after being to the shop.

serves me right for buying 3 million things

DilysPrice · 04/07/2012 20:00

Yeah, bastards. I still hold a grudge against fifty a few law firms who didn't give me a job twenty years ago.

hathorisaskingaquestion · 04/07/2012 20:01

He is only looking for a summer job. so he can be off mum's payroll and have some cash for his socialising

JollyGood - clearly they are bastards. They did that on purpose I tellz ya.

carabos · 04/07/2012 20:12

I'm ahead of you OP Wink. I boycotted them yesterday when I spotted my arch-enemy pulling into the car park and now I know I did the right thing.

Hope your lad finds a job soon.

KneesoftheBee · 04/07/2012 20:18

I will happily boycott the store as long as I can spend the clubcard points I have already accrued.

Tell your DS not to be too disheartened - it's really tough getting part time work at the moment. DS1 got turned down for a summer job at Tesco but got took on later in the year in the run up to Christmas.

pimmsgalore · 04/07/2012 20:24

I'll boycott them with you, they won't deliver to my house as apparently I live in a business Confused

littlemisssarcastic · 04/07/2012 20:27

I'll boycott them 5 days a week. I promise to only go in once a week for a main shop and once for extra bread and milk.

They're not going to know what's hit them!! Grin

RuleBritannia · 04/07/2012 20:29

I don't shop there, anyway, but I'm with you. I now live just outside Tescoville - Reading has (or soon will have) fourteen Tesco stores and the propsoed new one will simply put more small shops out of buisiness. Every little Tesco shop helps to put more independent shops out of business.
