Because tonight, after the Ukraine have bombed out of Euro 2012, Satan will be going for a stroll with his brass knuckles on :(

If the England fans have any sense they will head back to their hotels as quickly as they can, and stay there, but I suspect that they wont and it will be terrible :(

Glad England went through, equally glad that the sizeable racist and thuggish element in the Ukrainian support have been thwarted, good riddance indeed.

What on earth are UEFA thinking holding a major competition in Ukraine with all the corruption and anti democratic practice in that country.

SurprisinglyCurvaceousPirate · 19/06/2012 22:50

takingiteasy, don't worry, we're shit too - just not quite as shit as you Grin Wink!

takingiteasy · 19/06/2012 22:50

Yeah we just go along for the banter.

Rowood · 19/06/2012 22:50

I hate it all!

yellowraincoat · 19/06/2012 22:50

It is shocking, isn't it ComposHat?

That Panorama about it really shocked me.

SurprisinglyCurvaceousPirate · 19/06/2012 22:51

x-posted Rindercella - I beg to differ Grin! I know we're shit, but we're there and we're clinging on, and we'll lose and it'll be hideous, but hey, it's football!

yellowraincoat · 19/06/2012 22:51

The thing is, England has 10 times the population of Scotland.

But are England 10 times better?

Tell me that, eh.

cantspel · 19/06/2012 22:52

wewll seems we are out the group stages and scotland didn't even qualify then yes i would say we are 10 times better.

thebody · 19/06/2012 22:53

No bogey was being light hearted really!!! Eeek ds will be fine, he did gap year in Thailand when red revolution kicked off..

takingiteasy · 19/06/2012 22:54

Actually I've noticed a bit of a cooling down with the whole 'England expects' and talk of it being in the bag etc. It's quite refreshing.

I think that's where the whole Scotland not supporting England thing stems from. It was rammed down our throats every tournament.

I had to laugh though, it seems it wasn't until Andy Murray let slip at a press conference that he supported anyone but England that the press cottoned onto it. It's been going on for ever!

yellowraincoat · 19/06/2012 22:54

10 times better.

So if Scotland and England played tomorrow, England would score 20 goals to Scotland's 2?

I don't think so.

The maths of that may not be 100%.

cantspel · 19/06/2012 22:55

www.fifa.com/worldranking/rankingtable/index.html

scotland ranked 41st
england ranked 6th

yellowraincoat · 19/06/2012 22:55

It's true, takingiteasy, and people get SO upset about it. They really take it personally that you actively don't support their team.

Why be so PETTY, they lament.

Because we are Scottish, that's what we DO.

thebody · 19/06/2012 22:55

Cocolepew, god got message deleted for first time and guess your reply was too and was to me??? Very sorry didn't mean to call you a t..., a bit stressed today please accept apologies!!!

takingiteasy · 19/06/2012 22:55

We're 41st? That's amazing!

SlinkyB · 19/06/2012 22:55

Odd thread. You all been on the Wine or what? Confused

As you were.

yellowraincoat · 19/06/2012 22:56

Well, by your reckoning, cantspel, Scotland should be 60th compared to England's 6th.

So.

cantspel · 19/06/2012 22:56

so not quite 10 times but hardly the same league

takingiteasy · 19/06/2012 22:57

And is the difference between 41st and 6th equal ten times? Pedantic and thick, not a good mixturem

yellowraincoat · 19/06/2012 22:58

I never said we were in the same league, did I? DID I?

Anyway, your banter's not in the same league.

I would know I live in England and the banter is atrocious.

takingiteasy · 19/06/2012 22:58

Lol I couldn't work out how to work that out! I blame baby brain.

bogeyface · 19/06/2012 22:58

Would they Winny? I thought that they couldnt go through at all no matter what the result? Actually, that makes it worse then, makes the liklihood of violence higher i would have thought :(

And yes, I am English so "we" won afaiac. "We" means England to me because I am English, it means Ireland to my Irish relatives and Wales to my ex inlaws, and I understand what they mean when they say it. I dont need it pointing out to me.

cantspel · 19/06/2012 23:00

ah your just pissed as your footie team never qualify.

We might crash and burn in the knock out stages but at least we made it there in the first place

yellowraincoat · 19/06/2012 23:01

shrug. Doesn't really matter if you make it there, you never win anything.

bogeyface · 19/06/2012 23:01

Yellow, can i ask you a Q please?

If England bomb out of something but Scotland is still in then I will support Scotland, but I understand that it doesnt work the other way around. Why is that?

Thebody I didnt get that it was tongue in cheek, I thought you were being serious, sorryBlush. If he can make it through thailand in one piece then I should think he will be better off than most over there!
