Do you have, or know anyone that does, principles that would absolutely not be ditched in the event of greater wealth?

What about if I make a sandwich really really brimful of hot spicy pickle and mash it in her face?

I am usually in bed with the Dalai Llama (so to speak).

But I am also an opinionated strident control freak.

I would never deny anyone an opinion based on their lifestyle, but it may make for some heated discussions.

I do like a good argument.

ExitPursuedByABear · 14/06/2012 15:16

Piccallili - what the actual fuck is that all about?

Mrs Balls Chutney here.

TuftyFinch · 14/06/2012 15:17

That would work. It would get her in a right pickle.

AbsofAwesomeness · 14/06/2012 15:19

Mrs Balls - YES Exit! Amazing. I bought some yesterday.

On a toasted sandwich with cheese - incredible
mixed with mayonnaise with chicken on a sandwich - incredible
on chips - incredible
with curry - incredible
on its own - incredible

scummymummy · 14/06/2012 15:20

pickle in the face could be a way forward

What is Mrs Balls chutney? Is it made by Yvette Cooper? If so you are a New Labourite, I'm guessing, Exit?

Hullygully · 14/06/2012 15:21

Ha ha ha - definitely not Ms Cooper and I am definitely not New Labour.

Tis originally South African I believe as that is where I first encountered it. There are many different varieties but just the original available here.

Lush.

Hullygully · 14/06/2012 15:24

hot african rhino sounds a bit ROOD

OP posts:
scummymummy · 14/06/2012 15:25

scummymummy · 14/06/2012 15:26

It sounds yum, Exit. I will get some asap.:)

ExitPursuedByABear · 14/06/2012 15:26

Oh Abs - Peck's Anchovette is on that link and it is not available in the UK.

ExitPursuedByABear · 14/06/2012 15:27

Tell your 'friend' to join Mumsnet. That'd learn 'er.

Hullygully · 14/06/2012 15:28

oh don't worry scummy, I am even boring myself.

I am fighting the urge to post my email to her, after her rant, and her reply to me...

OP posts:
AbsofAwesomeness · 14/06/2012 15:28

alright, less of the chutney talk. Apologies for derailing ANOTHEr thread with food chat.

Apparently women think about food as much as men think about sex.

Hullygully · 14/06/2012 15:28

Nothing wrong with tangents and byways, absy, we'd all wither and die without them.

FioFio · 14/06/2012 15:29

my parents were socialists and became quite well off, well enough to pay for private education, and they would have rather set fire to their pubes in a local branch of the wimpy than send us to private school.

AbsofAwesomeness · 14/06/2012 15:30

Wha'? No pecks? I used to love that stuff as a kid,w ith lots of butter. It must be, it MUST

i'll have a look at the SA shops I know, and get back to you.

Hullygully · 14/06/2012 15:30

Didn't realise it had reached the written word stage.

ExitPursuedByABear · 14/06/2012 15:32

No Abs Pecks refused to kowtow to European legislation demanding a change in the recipe so no longer available in the UK Sad
