"Has tha nowt moist"

HerMajestyQueenHillyzabethII · 10/06/2012 20:46

YABU for wanting gravy. Salt and vinegar is sufficient, but if sauce simply must be had, then curry sauce is the way to go.

SelfRighteousPrissyPants · 10/06/2012 20:47

Only have salt and vinegar on mine, of course, but surely gravy on a Sunday would be more sensible on other days? Or did they use it all on roast dinners?

QuickLookBusy · 10/06/2012 20:47

Are you up North by any chance ChaosWink

Am very jealous that you get gravey six times a week. I'm a Northerner, living down south and you cannot get gravey ANY day of the week round these parts.

Heathens they are, I tell you, heathens.

JosephineCD · 10/06/2012 20:48

What do chippies down south sell instead of curry sauce and gravy?

HerMajestyQueenHillyzabethII · 10/06/2012 20:49

Most the the southern chippies do sell curry sauce and mushy peas, but not always gravy.

QuickLookBusy · 10/06/2012 20:51

Yes, don't worry, they do curry sauce and mushy peas, but I have never come across gravey. Ever. Can you imagine??

rainbowsprite1 · 10/06/2012 20:52

chips cheese & gravy is that way to go... and you can get it here on a sunday :)

RobinSparkles · 10/06/2012 20:52

If I have chippy chips they HAVE to have gravy on.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 10/06/2012 20:53

I'm Brummish QLB. Smile

And you lot putting vingear on chips???

You know that's a byproduct of batteryacid manufacture?

Bleurgh bleurgh and thrice bleurgh.

Sorry, don't know where that random e in the gravy came from.

PuppyMonkey · 10/06/2012 20:53

Everyone suggesting OP makes her own gravy with Bisto or whatever - STOP IT.

flapperghasted · 10/06/2012 20:53

Minifish, chips and gravy, £2 at my local chippy. I love chips and gravy. In fact, my mates DH has just opened a chippy and I may move house, just so we can go there, cos he makes the best chips and gravy ever!

RobinSparkles · 10/06/2012 20:56

Alright, everyone stop it! You're making me hungry - I would sell my DH for chips, sausage and gravy right now!

FairToMiddlin · 10/06/2012 20:56

I love gravy.

I also love the word discombobulate.

stubbornstains · 10/06/2012 20:58

RobinSparkles · 10/06/2012 21:04

StubbornStains, "has tha nowt moist?" is from Peter Kay - he's talking about how they don't do peas in Chippys down south.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 10/06/2012 21:04

Botheration.

I'd moved you to a speshul colunm.
