I can't answer 1. with either because I am a republican but am not a 'giving a shit' type of person, and also recognise how important it is to lots of people.

  1. Yes. I love the Olympics and it is fabulous for them to be in Britain. I hope we do well for the Nation's pride. I am also deeply patriotic.

Don't have a simple answer to 1. I'd rather we didn't have a monarchy, but as we do, then it doesn't seem inappropriate. What I don't understand is people who want a monarchy with no royal trappings.

Yes. (Though family member is a very strong contender to win Gold so I do have a vested interest)
