What is a '2ww'?

SlipperyNipple · 02/06/2012 20:37

I don't think it would make a difference. When I was pregnant I didn't go on those rides though....so maybe not.

monkeymoma · 02/06/2012 20:38

yup! did extreme sports in both of my TWW, think it helps a little to let your hair down

SlipperyNipple · 02/06/2012 20:38

2 week wait

MyRoyalLentillyness · 02/06/2012 20:39

Is being pissed a condition of entry?

ToothbrushThief · 02/06/2012 20:39

2 week wait I'm guessing...

Personally not drinking wouldn't be such a big deal for me and I'd go on all the rides regardless. You are talking about a minuscule cellular implantation. It's not at risk from a rollercoaster

WorraLiberty · 02/06/2012 20:40

Ahh right thanks.

Yes, I would carry on with life as normal.

DamnBamboo · 02/06/2012 20:40

You're not pregnant (yet)!

Of course you can go on the rides.

sadbuttryingmummy · 02/06/2012 20:41

lol at beig pissed a condition of entry !!!Grin

nah i mean tonight been for a meal, but stopped at 2 large glasses of wine, but felt a bit pissed, would have prefered to have one or two more wines though, lol, but i don't incase in pg.

I went on a bouncy castle when (unknowingly) pregnant with DD1 and on the runaway train at Eurodisney with DD2.

Go for it Smile

squeakytoy · 02/06/2012 20:41

ummm, going on rides would be absolutely fine... Confused

squeakytoy · 02/06/2012 20:44

The vast majority of women have been pissed in the earliest stages of pregnancy to absolutely no ill effect because they didnt even know they were pregnant.. you cant put your whole life on hold. Getting pissed every now and again will not ruin your chances of getting pregnant, nor will it do any harm if you were in the first two weeks of pregnancy either.

Jubilcece · 02/06/2012 20:45

I think it is fine to go and enjoy the rides.

I went to Chessington when first pg with DD. She is fine!

dexter73 · 02/06/2012 20:47

If I remember correctly I got pregnant because I was really pissed Blush!

HRHcatgirl1976 · 02/06/2012 20:48

I was skiing black runs whilst unknowingly pg with DS. And when I did know I carried on skiing and riding

Go - enjoy

sadbuttryingmummy · 02/06/2012 20:49

i know the vast majority can do things with no ill effect but my lovely son died due to cogential defect so im very paranoid.

i wasn't pissed then either btw

OP posts:
HRHcatgirl1976 · 02/06/2012 20:52

So sorry for your loss :(

It is bound to make you more cautious but I still think you should try and go

dexter73 · 02/06/2012 20:53

I'm sorry to hear about your son. If it will play on your mind then I think it would be best not to go just to give you peace of mind. What do you feel like doing?

sadbuttryingmummy · 02/06/2012 20:57

thanks.

well if i knew i was pg, i def wouldn't go.

but as i don't know,, but there is a chance i'm unsure, as part of me thinks if i am, it will still be a tiny embyro implanting right?
the other hald of me thinks perhaps a jerky ride may make any potential embro not implant properly and that could cause problem

OP posts:
HRHcatgirl1976 · 02/06/2012 20:58

I think now tbh, if you are pg you will worry about having gone and if you are not you will worry that going was the reason it didn't happen

Given that, perhaps you shouldn't go

nosleepwithworry · 02/06/2012 21:01

For the love of God...from some one who has been ttc for about 12 years on and off (AKA me)
Go
Do it
DO NOT let this hold you back from life, huge big mistake, i cant stress this enough.

I regret absolutely and completely allowing it to rule my life and affect my life in the NOW.

sadbuttryingmummy · 02/06/2012 21:05

i don't want the people who have invited me to know the reason if i decide not to go though, although i think thye suspect, i don't want them to actually 100% def know we are ttc

so how would i get out of it, if i didn't want to go?

OP posts:
PennieDreadful · 02/06/2012 21:08

What NoSleep said.

Just go.

And if you don't want to go, just say you're not going.

(But go.)

dexter73 · 02/06/2012 21:08

Can you just send a vague text/email saying thanks for the invite but you can't go that day?

moveoverhogger · 02/06/2012 21:10

Go for it, after months of trying & being 'careful' and mmc's, i went to drayton manor on tww, was convinced it would just be another month where the tests were negative, so never thought a thing about going on all the rollercoasters & 2 weeks later got a positive pregnancy test!! 9 months later and had my dd, no problems or complications whatsoever. Don't hold back, keep living your life as normal (i wish i had at the time!) & you never know.
