to think that DM shouldn't prioritise her clubs over me?

Don't get me wrong - I luff my mum and we'd do anything for each other.

I'm just really fuming that she wouldn't nip round to mine to rescue the washing off the line today. The rain was about to lashy down and I didn't really want to intterupt what I was doing. But she said she wouldn't as she'd be late for KnitAndKnatter, well she calls it StichAndBitch, but that's a hole other thread lol.

Now I have to do the complete wash again - its really unenvironmentalky friendly to have to rewash stuff that stinks.

Sigh.

AIBU to think she should revisit her priorities I don't ask for much really?

seriously??

Dprince · 01/06/2012 18:21

I assume you are taking the piss. I hope.

YoulllaughAboutItOneDay · 01/06/2012 18:22

Is this a joke or a thread about a thread or something.

katkouta · 01/06/2012 18:22

Must try harder :)

Safmellow · 01/06/2012 18:22

Sorry but I think YABU.

Why should your mum interrupt her life for your washing? Do you really need to wash it again? If I hang mine out well spaced I think the rain makes it softer, and it doesn't smell at all :)

OddBoots · 01/06/2012 18:22

"I didn't really want to intterupt what I was doing" - neither could she.

Jinsei · 01/06/2012 18:23

Obviously a piss-take!

LadyBeagleEyes · 01/06/2012 18:23

What were you doing that you didn't want to interrupt?

AThingInYourLife · 01/06/2012 18:24

"The rain was about to lashy down and I didn't really want to intterupt what I was doing."

:o

Over egged it.

Olympia2012 · 01/06/2012 18:24

Funny first thread!

TidyDancer · 01/06/2012 18:24

Clearly a pisstake, but just in case, YABVU.

rainbowinthesky · 01/06/2012 18:24

Yab completely unreasonable.

TartyMcFarty · 01/06/2012 18:24

Just out of interest, what were you doing that was far more important than your mother having her own life?

ribbonsandrainboughs · 01/06/2012 18:26

Not a pisstake you cynics.

Hmm

I was in town. She had to drive past my door. It's not like it was a club that you had to be there dead on time. Confused

Biscuit
YoulllaughAboutItOneDay · 01/06/2012 18:29

Ok. I'll play along then.

It was washing. It wasn't water soluble. YABU. Stick it on for a rinse and spin. Job done.

MrsEricBana · 01/06/2012 18:30

Blimey

Dprince · 01/06/2012 18:31

If its not a piss take, you're just quite precious. If it was that important, you should have gone home.

ToothbrushThief · 01/06/2012 18:32

I know it's a wind up but it still made me smile. A little bit of me is chuckling even more at the idea that it's not a wind up and there is an adult out there who thinks their mum exists mainly to run errands for her

OutragedAtThePriceOfFreddos · 01/06/2012 18:32

Are you seriously serious? Really?

I'd be embarrassed to ask my Mum that. I'm a big girl that has been managing my own washing for a very long time. Plus stitch and bitch sounds a lot more fun than sorting out another competent adults washing.

Salmotrutta · 01/06/2012 18:32

ribbons - C'mon, you absolutely are on a wind-up. You have to be.

If not, then you must be Princess SpoiltMadam

MrsTerryPratchett · 01/06/2012 18:33

You know rain is water, right?

Salmotrutta · 01/06/2012 18:34

I like the sound of StitchNBitch too ... and I don't even knit.

I'd take it up if I could go to a club like that though Grin

Dawndonna · 01/06/2012 18:34

What's the harm with a second rinse? You're a Madam.

OldGreyWiffleTest · 01/06/2012 18:34

You can't even say the word 'love', you use 'luff' - that speaks volumes in itself.
