Proper armpit huggers.

I have this notion that they will be comfortable and fifties in style as you can get some non granny print ones these days, M&S have some nice ones.

Or am I just deluded and will be a youngish person in granny knickers?

If IANBU, recommend me some stylish pairs?

Surely nobody sees your knickers so it doesn't matter what they look like? Hmm

madwomanintheattic · 31/05/2012 14:31

I take it you missed the first wave of the Bridget jones inspired underwear frenzy, then?

Ahhhtetley · 31/05/2012 14:31

I love big comfy knickers Grin

madwomanintheattic · 31/05/2012 14:32

Wear what's comfortable. Anything else is frankly bizarre.

Cockwomble · 31/05/2012 14:32

Yep would seem so! My lovely DH sees them, and there's a chance they could be witnessed at the gym! No need for such a face, pombear

I do currently wear comfy knickers always, I just fancied a bit of change of style iyswim

God bless you, OP, I was thinking exactly the same thing yesterday. (I'm sure MN users are all a tiny bit psychic Grin)

I love my M&S high leg lace topped knicks, but secretly dream about switching to MASSIVE full pants.

Why do I feel a bit ashamed about this admission thou?

Cockwomble · 31/05/2012 14:46

Exactly yoghurty! There's a little bit of me that's slightly ashamed I want to wear them Grin

NOOOOOOO

Its summer, time for small floral pants with a bit of lace! I have some lovely tulip ones on that are high leg & just the right height to cut my muffin top in two :)

Surely big pants would just give you a sweaty bum?!

Cockwomble · 31/05/2012 14:47

onetired Grin

I'd only go for the finest cotton over the bum parts!

cocolepew · 31/05/2012 14:47

Big pants give a much nicer line under your clothes. I like those in your link.

Cockwomble · 31/05/2012 14:49

Thanks coco I feel I may just give them a go!

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 31/05/2012 14:51

I love big pants!

I gave in several years ago and I've never been so comfortable in my whole life. It truly is a joy never to have knickers up your bum.

They do give a smoother line under clothes as well.

FunnyLovesTheJubilee · 31/05/2012 14:52

I wear massive full pants Bought them when pregnant with DS2 and still wear them. I keep thinking I should buy some nicer frillier pants, but they are soooooo comfy

knowitallstrikesagain · 31/05/2012 14:53

YANBU.

Teeny tiny lacy pants for display.

Massive pants for everyday.

Unless you are on display every day...

YABU. And vair grannyish.

But I mostly wear thongs which also sit nicely under clothes and are tres comfortable.

Ithinkitsjustme · 31/05/2012 15:14

So which would look best, thongs or massive pants under the low slung jeans? Grin

Cockwomble · 31/05/2012 15:16

On me, definitely the massive pants to hold in the muffins!

Sadly my thong days are behind me...once upon a time I did wear naught but thongs under my trousers. My bum is not as it once was! Grin

MaidenDevon · 31/05/2012 15:22

Comfortable thong - that's an oxymoron to me, and believe me I've tried lots. How can something up yer bum be comfortable, and if it ain't up yer bum you may as well wear "proper" knickers

amothersplaceisinthewrong · 31/05/2012 15:25

Granny pants are just that - for grannies :) Give me a thong any day.

RetroMom · 31/05/2012 15:27

I would rather go commando than wear big pants!

FunnyLovesTheJubilee · 31/05/2012 15:28

technically I could be a Grannie

igggi · 31/05/2012 15:33

I'm wearing them post c-section, and think it will be a wrench to go back to less comfy ones! But I could never hang them on washing line.
