Proper armpit huggers.

I have this notion that they will be comfortable and fifties in style as you can get some non granny print ones these days, M&S have some nice ones.

Or am I just deluded and will be a youngish person in granny knickers?

If IANBU, recommend me some stylish pairs?

i think the one's in your link are really pretty- i'm not a granny!!!

ifancyashandy · 31/05/2012 16:10

I don't understand why people think thongs are uncomfortable. I can't feel a thing!

Cockwomble · 31/05/2012 16:15

I must admit back in the days of thong wearing I found them comfortable. I just don't have the arse anymore - it's so big it eats my trousers if I attempt thong wear! Grin haha just typo'd "grim" into my grin emoticon.

I hang my big pants on the washing, line! I'm out and proudGrin

Big pants are definitely preferable to a thing under clothes....or in any situation tbh.

I used to be a thong wearer in my younger days, but with pregnancy came big pants and now I can't go back. I have an abdominal scar and a hip scar which low pants irritate as well.

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 31/05/2012 16:16

thing thong

Dawndonna · 31/05/2012 16:21

I bought some female boxers in Peacocks earlier in the week. They're heavenly!

nickelbarapasaurus · 31/05/2012 16:21

yup, go for it!

I hate wearing skimpy knickers! Grin

cocolepew · 31/05/2012 16:52

Have you still got a Peacocks Dawn?

EarthInBeautyDressed · 31/05/2012 17:20

I used to wear thongs. Until the day I caught sight of my rear view in one of Marks and Spencer's changing room mirrors.

I am in bikinis now but perhaps I need to just bite the bullet and head for big knickers. They do look comfy.

I am so grateful I wasn't wearing a thong when I broke my leg. I would have died of shame positioning myself on the x-ray table for the lateral view. Blush Grin

EvenBetter · 31/05/2012 17:20

What are they for though? Surely it can't be comfortable to wear things so high up? None of my knickers are uncomfortable at all.. I don't get it. Though wearing things (tights, trousers etc) high up makes me feel sick, I have to fold the tops of my tights down to stop myself bokin.

Dawndonna · 31/05/2012 17:33

Yes, coco I was in there on Wednesday. I have 15 year old twin dds, so it's great for stocking up on undies!

usualsuspect · 31/05/2012 17:35

I like a nice big pair of pants

usualsuspect · 31/05/2012 17:35

I am a granny though Grin

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 31/05/2012 19:55

Lol Earthinbeauty I was wearing yesterday's big pants when I came off my bike and ended up at A&E being x-rayed

It was early in the day and I tend to shower after exercise, I'm not normally to be found in yesterday's KnicksGrin

takingiteasy · 31/05/2012 21:03

I bought some big pants from Primark for the post birth I-need-to-wear-2-fannny-pad stage.

I'm still wearing them! They are so comfy and DH finds them quite sexy in a 'perving at the underwear section of your mums catlouge' kind of way!

trikken · 31/05/2012 21:07

Granny pants all the way. hate thongs with a passion. its like having cheese-wire up my arse.

Sandalwood · 31/05/2012 21:12

I've just been thinking about this.
I'm in big pants since a c-section a fortnight ago - and I don't think I want to go back to small ones. They are very comfy.

marriedinwhite · 31/05/2012 21:16

As a 51 year old, 12/14 on HRT - they are sooooo comfy and they help your clothes (especially silky ones) hang sooo well. Grin. You can always change into something more sexy at bed time.

Dawndonna · 31/05/2012 21:16

No more freezing your arse off in cold weather.
Thongs always feel like your arse is trying to eat your undies!

Cockwomble · 31/05/2012 21:19

Update - I bought a cheap multipack of giant pants from tesco to roadtest how they feel. DH laughed hysterically when I got them out of the pack Grin

You don't parade them in front of your DH you wear them all to day to be comfy!!

carrielou2007 · 31/05/2012 21:40

Thong wearer here, even when pregnant Grin. I bought some huge pants after having the dc to hold everything in for those first few weeks and they were vile. I felt like a russian shotputter and very very unattractive. However, those in the link with the lace look lovely!

QueenTiggyDTheFirst · 31/05/2012 21:44

But what if you're run over by a bus and the Doctor needs to give you an examination in the undercarriage area and he looks like a straight George Clooney?

Pontouf · 31/05/2012 22:35

I love big pants! I think they can be incredibly sexy in a 50s sex siren type of way! I love
