To let my cats sleep in the Moses Basket?

DD no longer uses her Moses Basket, has been in her big cot for weeks and before that, a travel cot. I don't have storage space in my house, so intended to offer it to any friends who wanted or needed it, however a lot of my friends who are pg are pg with their first and have doting GPs and such like and therefore it is not needed or wanted.

I suppose I could Gumtree / Freecycle it, but in the meantime, I had put some old towels in that I no longer use, and it was in the corner of my bedroom that houses the hoover, DDs outgrown clothes etc.

Well, since then, my two cats have taken to sleeping in it (the never even looked at it before when DD was using it). They curl up together and just look bloody divine.

AIBU to keep it, for them?

Should add, now that cats have even gone into it once, I wouldn't offer it to anyone Grin

Sounds like the decision has been taken out of your hands Grin

I've bought my cat two beds and she turns her nose up at them. Preferring to sleep just behind my knees all night. Angry

TidyDancer · 28/05/2012 18:19

Oh YANBU at all! Our childhood cats used to kip in our doll's prams. Their eyes would light up when they saw us playing. We used to push them in the garden in the them. Grin

Besides, what on earth makes you think this is your choice?! Wink

Sparklingbrook · 28/05/2012 18:19

I need to see a photo before i decide. Grin

TidyDancer · 28/05/2012 18:19

GnocchiNineDoors · 28/05/2012 18:24

OK, i've added a photo. I left the towels in, incase the general consensus was that IWBU Grin

GnocchiNineDoors · 28/05/2012 21:46

That's settled then. Tbh, not planning on any more babies, so no need to keep the basket.

Grin Thanks Zukie

Im half glad they've taken a shine to something apart from the very lovely and rather pricey indoor/outdoor beanbag I bought for the garden last summer which they commandeered shortly after buying. Now I can loll in the Yarden and they are happy too.

Aww they look so comfy Grin

Great that it's on a stand too cos cats usually prefer to be higher up off the ground.

TheUnMember · 28/05/2012 22:03

Nope, it not yours to make any decisions about any longer. Your masters have pulled rank.

SchrodingersMew · 28/05/2012 22:18

Oh, they look so cute in that basket! :o

iklboo · 28/05/2012 22:39

You know they're posting on Catsnet right now about their nice human kitting them out with a fab new bed?

GnocchiNineDoors · 28/05/2012 22:40

Haha, I can imagine Grin

"AIBU to boot my sister out of the bed, after all, it was me who got first dibs on it?"
