I found watching him prancing about waving it like a trophy was a bit sickening.
He just looked like he was showing off!
I know someone who has carried the torch, she was nominated for her work with special needs children and has been really modest about the whole thing!

Oh don't be ridiculous women.

He also was proud of it, otherwise he wouldn't have bothered.

Geez can no one do anything these days without being judged Hmm

insancerre · 28/05/2012 14:31

YABU to care so much.
I didn't see it but he was showing off, wasn't he? I expect he was pleased with himself.
So what?

insancerre · 28/05/2012 14:32

x-posts McPhee Grin

BonkeyMollocks · 28/05/2012 14:32

Meh!
So what!

molschambers · 28/05/2012 14:33

Well at least he's excited about the whole thing. More than I can manage tbh.

BonkeyMollocks · 28/05/2012 14:33

X-post Grin

CrispyCod · 28/05/2012 14:41

How come he was carrying the torch. I thought this was the London Olympics and worthy UK bods were given the honour to carry it. Why are letting forrin people carry it? Grin

sparkle12mar08 · 28/05/2012 14:43

I'm starting to really dislike him to be honest. He's a pompous, inarticulate, arrogant man. And what on earth was he doing carrying a torch anyway? We couldn't have found just one more deserving british citizen out of the nearly 60million here?!

LentillyFart · 28/05/2012 14:52

Gosh. I didn't realise that you only qualified for torch bearing if you devoted your life to Special Needs children. I'll be danged.............

slowestwildebeast · 28/05/2012 14:57

I agree sparkle, I think he's an absolute moron, probably why he and Cheryl no more Cole get on so well.

I imagine him repeating 'dope' a lot to her, and she probably has her responses on tape to play in reply.

Didn't even know it was a torch. the Voice is dreadful, Saturday was the second time I'd watched it, what tripe.

giveitago · 28/05/2012 15:00

He's brilliant. Not a big fan of the group's music but think he's lovely lovely guy.

Not a fan of the voice and all that stuff.

usualsuspect · 28/05/2012 15:02

Don't be so bloody silly OP

Mrsjay · 28/05/2012 15:03

Least he didnt sell it on ebay like some were doing Grin the man was obviously very proud to be torch carrier , what a silly thing to moan about

FerrisBueller1972 · 28/05/2012 15:04

Back off Will. He is my favourite crush right now. :o

So what if he took a torch on The Voice? There are much more in depth issues to get your knickers in a knot about....

LowFlyingBirds · 28/05/2012 15:04

My nephew will be carrying the torch. I do hope he prances about and waves it about lots and lots and lots!

TheHouseOnTheCorner · 28/05/2012 15:08

It's not the holy Grail...it's a symbolic torch...one of many. Yabu. I love him.

Mrsjay · 28/05/2012 15:10

do people have to be really deserving British citizens to carry the torch then ? Wink

MrsMellowDrummer · 28/05/2012 15:10

What you have to understand about Will I Am, is that he's fundamentally a six year old.

It reminded me of my children being super-glued to their favourite toy of the moment. I wonder if he goes to sleep cuddling it too?

PandaWatch · 28/05/2012 15:16

Pfft. Seeing as the modern Olympic torch relay started out as a piece of Nazi propaganda I'm surprised at anyone being proud to be involved.

2shoes · 28/05/2012 15:21

i would love to understand how he got to carry it in the first place.

slowestwildebeast · 28/05/2012 15:30

he bored them to tears and said 'dope' 30 times and they just gave him it!

Mrsjay · 28/05/2012 15:34

A QUICK GOOGLE SHOWS he does a lot for charity perhaps he got to carry it for that he has 2 foundations

usualsuspect · 28/05/2012 15:50

I'm quite happy to watch him wave his torch about

TheUnMember · 28/05/2012 16:07

I had a look at the torch route the other day. Mount Olympus to London, via Cardiff. Methinks they need a new GPS.

NoOnesGoingToEatYourEyes · 28/05/2012 16:09

Totally random question but OP has your house been featured in a decorating magazine recently?

I didn't see him on the voice because I don't watch it, but perhaps he was just excited and thought it would be interesting. I know he's a celebrity but this is a little out of the norm even for them.
